Not a good way to start, and not at all a coincidence that Iowa moved the ball better when he went down. Kid's been hurt quite a bit this season. Too bad. The backup isn't terrible, but depth is a huge issue here.

fortunately they get to play a team with no more depth than a kiddie pool.     That kid is a good talent.

This is your formal invitation to Phil & Harry's BIG RED Sharkwater Party on November 16th!
On November 16th the Huskers will host the Wisconsin Badgers in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Kickoff time is 11am local. I thought it would be nice to start a tailgate party about 9:30am on Saturday.
Stop by, sit in a lawn chair, eat , drink, and talk college football. The forecast looks good.
Same spot as the past few seasons. A parking lot on the northwest corner of 8th and "L" Street. The lot is just three blocks south of "O" Street on South 8th street.  Near the Meadow Gold Dairy and under the Rosa Parks Way overpass.
Go to Google Maps and type in, "801 L Street, Lincoln, NE" or try this link:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/801+L+St,+Lincoln,+NE+68508/@40.8103181,-96.7099837,18z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x8796bf03ca51d6b7:0xf179fbb64906ef5d
Bring whatever food and beverage you'd like. Harry have a grill there. We’ll have burgers and brats and some beer (Bud Heavy)
A lawn chair and cheap sunglasses will come in handy.
I'll have paper plates, napkins, some mustard, a folding table, a cooler or two, and a large batch of "Sharkwater".
I’m hoping our Wisconsin Badger friends will attend the party!  Opposing fans ALWAYS make the party.
This will be my 18th Sharkwater Party.  Harry is kind enough to host the event at his tailgate party, so please be respectful.
Please let me know if you plan to attend.  Trying to get a rough head count.
Fearless Phil

I just hope he doesn't set any records of note in Lincoln this Saturday

Yeah, it would be hard for him to fumble more than OU/Billy Sims' did in Lincoln in '78, but that'd be one I could live with.

Been 13 years since the last Sharkwater party I attended, wouldn't mind going to another one of these days.
I thought I settled my debts that night on the ride home
But I have still got hell to pay

Blackshirts know that stopping Taylor is priority No. 1
Slowing down Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor will be as difficult of a challenge as Nebraska’s defense has faced this season, and the Blackshirts know it’s going to take all hands on deck to do it.

Now entering his third meeting against the Huskers, Taylor has already racked up some pretty staggering numbers in the series. The junior has totaled a whopping 470 yards and five touchdowns on 49 carries over the last two games vs. NU.

For Nebraska to have a chance on Saturday, it has to find a way to knock Taylor off that torrid clip. To do that, all 11 defenders need to do their part.

“He’s big, he’s powerful, and he’s slippery," Domann said. "He can slip through these tight gaps that their big o-linemen help create, and then he’s just a workhorse so you have to gang tackle him. You really have to knife him or wrap him up, can’t really hit him on top or take him down with your arms. He’s the full package and we've got to bring it this week.”

That might have been Switzer's best team.

Watching Taylor's highlights, his patience and power stand out to me. He lets the line create holes--they don't have to be huge--and he follows his blocks, then uses his power to add a couple more yards at the end. And he has the capability to juke and breakaway with his speed. But I think it's his patience that really sets him apart.

And the Badgers ability to keep things mixed up with competent QB play makes this offense run so much better.
