I assume you're wanting me to respond.
As I said earlier....was not defending JG as much as defending Pruitt's decison making.
He's the one who see's the QB's practice everyday and he's spent his life coaching. It's his job on the line not someone making a judgement from the comfort of their living room reading internet chatter.
If he thinks JG gives them the best chance to win then I'll support his judgement as long as he's the HC.
Having said that I will not be at all surprised to see a change sometime in the next few games .
Not bashing Pruitt here but, did you give Butch Jones the same benefit of the doubt?
Remember, the guy that played Justin Worley ( a statue in the pocket) in the zone read option offense, when everyone and their brother knew he was never going to keep the ball, only causing our RB a 2 second delay on getting downhill, and the opposing defense a 2 second head start upfield? While Josh Dobbs was on the bench, because "he doesn't practice very well".
The same guy that started an NFL WR (Jalen Hurd) at RB in that same zone read offense at 6'4" 230 lbs, instead of running him downhill in a pro set or I-formation?
And, the same guy that while starting an NFL WR at RB, and had the NFL Rookie of the Year (Alvin Kamara) on the pine behind the WR playing running back?
Point it, these coaches aren't impervious despite coaching being their 'expertise'. They have blind spots, obviously. Butch Jones was a damned fool, and I knew it from the get go when he was trying to stuff Worley and Hurd into a Zone Read, instead of tailoring the offense to suit his personnel.
Maybe Pruitt has a blind spot at QB?
