Pruitt inherited as bad as a situation as Majors did. The only major difference I know of is, I don't think Pruitt is living in a bottle.

Majors was a favorite son and to use a current phrase...he had a lot of equity with the fans.
 He was given more time at UT to rebuild than any coach before or since. Not a complaint or excuse ...just fact.

And we get that you feel about Pruitt like the Left does about Obama.

He was a Tennessee man, a favorite son, and a National Championship winning coach.

I believe he deserved much more equity.  We agree.

Oh good grief....Dan didn't say anything even close to being an analogy between Dan and Obama and Pruitt.
You made a similar accusation about me earlier saying I was a closet liberal or something similar.
It's not envy or support for Pruitt to simply state facts.
I have my problems with Pruitt just as Dan does but that doesn't prevent either of us from stating facts and facing reality.

Fulmer was a favorite son, a national champion winning coach and had a better record than Majors and that didn't prevent the idiots from running him off .Where was his equity?
That is one reason I'm very reluctant to join the "Fire the Coach Club" every three years. 
Those people destroyed UT football and it's never recovered.

He was here 15 years.  A far cry from being run off after 3 years.  More hyperbole.

I'd agree that he did deserve a little more equity, however.  I think he was fired a bit prematurely, and certainly there was no plan in place for a suitable replacement.  Malpractice!

Ok then, those that support Pruitt please provide an actual reason to keep him, not that "he deserves a chance" feelings based argument.  Show your proof that he deserves to be the head coach.  There's plenty of proof to show the opposite.

My point is...no matter what you want or I want...UT cannot afford to fire Pruitt this year without cause. Besides...who cares what I think about Pruitt good or bad. I'm not a coach or expert and I doubt anyone on this board is.
