This is an unchecked MAJOR problem for the SEC, with the expansion happening.

The SEC West already has Alabama, MSU, and Arkansas wearing maroon and white.  Adding Oklahoma makes 4 such teams.

This is an outrage!!!

Yeah, see, exactly - there's so many, I forgot the Johnny-come-lately.  So out of 8 western teams, like 17 of them wear maroon!!!

I believe you will be concerned about more than their colors when Alabama is moved to the East. :)

Uh, didn't see you in the thread or I would have made it clear I was replying to the OP. But since you chimed in, we are talking about H/H every other year and not 6 of the most recent 7 games being played in the State of Georgia. All 7 of which you lost.

The future SEC East would be too strong.  The strength of one division over the other is cyclical.  The East dominated early in the SECCG era, and the West has now dominated for an even longer stretch.  But Saban will leave, Florida will rise back up, Tennessee will matter once again, etc.

If you went back to 1993 and told someone Alabama and Auburn would wind up in the East, they'd scoff and tell you that many top programs can't be in one division.
But from what I hear, there won't be divisions once OU and Texas join.  The SEC will do the new idea of 3 annual opponents + 6 others one year, the final 6 the next year. 
My hope is that instead of holding the entire conference hostage like they have since 1992, Bama, UT, UGA, and Auburn are all playing each other every year.

Here's a take on the 16-team SEC with 3 annual rivals for each team.  Remember, no divisions.
Alabama - Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss
Auburn - Alabama, Georgia, Miss St
Georgia - Auburn, Florida, Carolina
Florida - Georgia, Carolina, Vanderbilt
Carolina - Florida, Kentucky, Georgia
Kentucky - Carolina, Missouri, Tenneessee
Missouri - Kentucky, Oklahoma, Arkansas
OU - Missouri, A&M, Texas
A&M - OU, Texas, LSU
Texas - A&M, Arkansas, OU
Arkansas - Texas, LSU, Missouri
LSU - Arkansas, Miss St, A&M
Miss St - LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn
Ole Miss - Vanderbiilt, Miss St, Alabama
Vanderbilt - Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida
Tennessee - Vanderbilt, Alabama, Kentucky

Some notes:
Usually, for an entire conference, you'd have trouble spreading out games vs big-boy programs, but here, we have plenty of those
A&M probably has the toughest trio here
Someone has to/gets to play Vandy
Each team has at least 2 it would love to play
The weakest links among those is probably UK-MIZ, OU-MIZ, and VAN-OM
.
I've heard that SEC teams will submit 5 preferred teams they'd like to be among their annual 3, and the SEC will work to make that happen.  The difficulty is whether the strong programs wanting to play other strong programs (relevance) vs weak ones (built-in wins) and the opposite - the weak programs preferring strong or weak opponents.

I would bet on no divisions before I would bet on nine conference games. Thought for sure they would go to nine when they expanded to 14. Should be at nine now and going to 10. Only two schools in this conference want to play nine games. The others would be fine with seven. They just want to rake in the payouts to the conference.

I enjoy GOOD OOC games a lot, and I've learned to be happy, mostly, with whatever they do.

UGA has series scheduled with Texas and OU which I imagine get changed somehow.

A&M is a true maroon, and so is MSU, but the others are various shades of crimson/red in my opinion.

Maroon has more purple in it, which is why it's perfect for the ags.
