There is zero doubt in my mind that at the end of the season, if Texas does well, everyone will say it was the result of an easy schedule.

It’s definitely a tough schedule but I wouldn’t rate it #2.

OU, Florida and Arkansas will be probably looking for a HC before the season is out. I listed OSU as a loss because it’s at Columbus and UT will pretty much be breaking in Arch even if he’s started a few games. @Uga is a L because it’s in Athens and they couldn’t beat them last season in two tries. The rest are not the crème de la crème of the SEC. A&M at the end will be a tough one but I give UT the nod. It will be interesting how the season shakes out.

How I see Florida. They’ll probably have a decent team, but not good enough. I see them firing Napier after the A&M game.

I don't know, Texas does pretty good against defending national champs in their own house in September.  Also, Texas is undefeated playing in Columbus, Ohio. :)

Honestly it could go either way. I give a slight edge to OSU. They won’t have the upheaval that Michigan had early last season. I have no idea about who all is returning and if they’ll have a new QB. If they are indeed starting a new QB I might say UT has the edge.

Oh I'm just messing around.  At home I think you gotta give the edge to Ohio State.  Should be a good game though

And I agree, can't pick Texas over Georgia, either.  I won't believe it til I see it.

Texas likely starts ranked #1, which makes their notional schedule difficulty at #2 very unusual for reasons noted.

Imagine Florida goes 7-5 but in fact has a very competitive team, losing 5 games "close", they end up unranked probably, but also probably better than all but ~10 teams out there.

I suspect UF will end up being quite good if their Qb stays healthy, which is always a question.

The answer is "nobody". tOSU loses basically everyone you heard of from last year, except for I think a couple of star secondary players.
If you're going to be concerned about Texas' losses, the OL is the place to focus. I believe we've got talented replacements, and that they'll be on their game quickly, but I'm not allowed to replace 4 out of 5 starters on the OL and just say "Oh they'll be fine".

Yeah I think the o-line is going to end the season as a very strong unit, but it's hard to think they won't need some time to find their footing, especially on the road in Game1 against the defending champs.

But all of the replacements have seen plenty of action, and Goosby might just end up being better than every single guy that just got drafted.  He's a physical freak and a determined player.

This is a great interview with Sarkisian, it's really easy to like him and to buy into what he's doing for the program. I've heard a lot of this before, but not in as much detail.
