Do not wet the bed, Dawgs.  I'm tired of watching teams let these chumps escape.  They get in the playoffs they'll embarrass the whole conference, and then I can't chant SEC!

Also I'll be watching with some Dawg friends and I don't want them crying on my shoulder by the end of this.  It's bad enough they get depressed when they play us and I feel too sorry to rub it in their faces.
Totally agree, I'm very much looking forward to my first time chanting SECSECSEC when the Dawgs beat Oklahoma State in the CFP.

Just kidding, of course.

Bama is like UNC in bouncy ball.  Theyll be ready.  This season they've shown lack of focus more than anything.  Focus can suddenly alter.  I expect it will.  UNC has for years played out of focus but come tourney time? Lasers....

Kicking a "down" bama team is premature.

OT or a half dozen wouldn't surprise me one bit.

I know all the optics point toward Georgia and Alabama does have foibles. There is one important advantage Alabama has; Bryce Young. Also, Alabama can stop the run. Both average 2.4 yards allowed per rush. If Bama stops the rush, Bama wins.

Also, OAM picks Georgia in a rout. Has he ever been right about anything? Damn, I feel good.

Side note, I feel sorry for my oldest son, the Georgia grad. It wouldn't be too bad if they broke their 40 year drought. Don't tell anybody I said this.

I think the line is reasonable, but even so it projects Bama would win 1 time in 3.  I expect a close contest, probably low scoring.  I hope Dan Lanning has the LBs and safeties coming on blitzes often.

I saw some guess on the score of 27-20, which sounds reasonable to me.  It could be, and will be, different, and things like turnovers could be pivotal.

I'd rather be UGA than Bama at this point.

UGA is my second favorite SEC team.

For now.

Don't screw this up.

I will endeavor to persevere.

I like LSU mostly.  I think my current favorite SEC teams include UK and Arky.  I once sort of liked Auburn but that went away.

Was doing a cursory review of both teams.

Guess who scored the most "legit" (not trash time) points on UGA?  My boys... 17 of them.  How?

Bama has capacity to dial up snaps.  Will they? If they do and it's efficient (read: =points), will this impact another discussion here?

I dont think this offers Bama any decisive advantage, but... I do think it's worth observing and considering.  If for no other reason it's the UGA defense they've got to plan for not the UGA O... which is an obvious statement, I guess... but used as a building block to scheme the game means Bama will want to play fast O and keep their D on field more where they match better, and in hopes to keep UGA D off balance as much as possible.

I'm thinking this game a 14-28/21-35 affair, which accidentally resembles the Vegas line.  There is a TD of overlap in my figuring. That isn't a lot.  And, we may as well say it- it's the NCG.. either this one or the next one in Jan.

We had an Auburn grad as a coach and for a bit they had a UGA grad as a coach.  Then they turned water hoses on us.

Anyway, hopefully the Dawgs play a good game.  They had zero penalties against Tech.  The conspiracy types think the zebras will make calls favorable to the Tide.

Yep. The Red Elephant Club slips bags of money to the refs before every game. if you listen to the Auburn folks the refs stole the game from them even though Alabama had almost three times as much penalty yardage and the most Alabama had the whole year.

Penalties,  hence bama was out of their comfort zone the entire game.  The final regulation scoring drive had two pushoffs and two significant holding on bama that went uncalled.  If you're fine with that just say so... it doesn't matter now, anyway... or is it "what difference does it make now?" The mantra?

Its not just bama. However they keep the dream alive with their cash cow.  I watched UT playing South Alabama with sec refs and it was bad in UTs favor... the penalties weren't lopsided by final tally, but the calls in crucial places went UTs way even though they didn't need them at all... the same way they do with Bama in every game they play, especially when they need it.

It's not only rivals of bama complaining.  There is literal articles written about wagering where it's suggested the officials team be announced prior to game time so wagerers can adjust accordingly.  The SEC is out of control.  They are by far the worse of collegiate officials.  If they were bad all around? Okay... but it's plainly obvious a quarter in where the officials stand.  Its played and its old.  It's also pretty apparent it's related to money and post season payout.

It almost makes me long for the old "old" system where teams were final ranked at the end of season and bowls were basically expo games.  UGA clearly had the best season.  Bama and UM is right behind them (regardless of level of competition) and yeah cincy deserves some love.  But for the love of the game, let them play without advantages. Bama should have lost to Auburn, and I hate both equally.  It was calls on the field that led to what the bama clan considers heroics by their QB.

And... its bouncy ball too.. ive not watched bama play so I've no clue there.   UT played Presbyterian the other night, I think it was, and the favoritism for them was just ugly.

I'm not fine with that.  If I want to watch a game I want it by the freakin rules no matter who is playing.  For UT fans that game was a given- for them? it was a chance to make a statement and something they likely were anxious to do... just to have refs call all sorts of dumbassery on them with a concentration on early and before separation.

I'll never forget the roughing the passer call against UT the game JG went rogue. It was a extremely decisive call that allowed bama to keep a drive alive and ultimately score providing separation.  There was no need for that.  Bama clearly had the better team anyone present could see. It's asinine.

Damn. Bama is just making UGA look silly now. I would not have thought Bama would be kicking their ass so hard. And I really wanted UGa to win. I’m tired of Bama. How could they look so average against LSU and Auburn, get beat by a mediocre A&M, then just dominate Georgia?
