Common opponents (which may not mean much):

at Auburn  24-22           34-10
Arky          42-35           37-0
Tenn         42-24            41-17
Florida      31-29            34-7

Offensive output is similar, defense is not.

George Pickens played in the game and had one catch yesterday.  He tore his ACL in Spring practice.  He would be a factor if healthy and 100%, or even 90%, though the other wide outs have done pretty well, especially Bower (TE).

No givens that either team will play like they have been playing....but if they do, Alabama is gonna hurt after this.

How much does UGA blitz?  Cuz Bama's line is not handling that well these days.

UGA is gonna have to derp this away to lose, I think.  And if they do, they are no longer my second favorite SEC team.

I hope they blitz and often from varying angles.  I think they will see the obvious, Lanning is a pretty good DC.  Auburn dropped back into coverage late and it cost them the game.

See my comment in the other thread with an uber-quick analysis of defenses.  UGA is giving up only 4.6 yards per pass attempt over the last month.  That's stout.  I'd have to pull up my old spread sheets to really compare it to something, but anything below 5 is very, very good.

Alabama giving up 6.7, fwiw.

Georgia has outscored its opponents 488 to 83 this season.

6.5 favorites over Bama, given a 2 out of 3 shot to win, and of course I understand they could well lose.  Bama should try and get their hands up against Bennett, as they did last time, more than rush him.  UGA should attack the Bama QB from various angles and keep him guessing and uncomfortable as Auburn did for most of the game.

I think you are going to be surprised at what Alabama throws at Georgia. I think Bama makes Georgia pass and we'll see if Stetson Bennett can do the job. I expect a different qb for Georgia the second half.

Bama's major problem is they are down to their 5th running back. Sanders was highly regarded out of high school but fractured his hip in a car wreck last winter and has been used sparingly. He will be backed up by a wide receiver.

With an OL blocking like that, it doesn't matter who the RB is.  They're not getting any yards.

This is my concern.  Grantham crowded the middle of the field and except for that 2 minute flurry, UGA only scored 13 points in the other 58 minutes.  Bennett threw 2 terrible interceptions trying to throw deep outs.  He just does not have that arm.  Think  Saban and staff noticed?  But Bama still has that oline and Young has to survive to score.  UGA 27 Alabama 17 and this would make me so happy!

I think UGA needs to have Bennett run a fair bit, and roll out to get lanes a lot.  Turnovers could be the key to the game, as often is the case in a close contest.

I think UGA is going to clobber the Tide.

Clobber?  I personally think it will be within ten, probably close than  that.  I worry about Bennet being able to pass over long arms.

Do not wet the bed, Dawgs.  I'm tired of watching teams let these chumps escape.  They get in the playoffs they'll embarrass the whole conference, and then I can't chant SEC!

Also I'll be watching with some Dawg friends and I don't want them crying on my shoulder by the end of this.  It's bad enough they get depressed when they play us and I feel too sorry to rub it in their faces.
