Enjoy the benefits of a 15 yard penalty against WVU, most likely. :djparty:

What's up Kris, how you feeling about this weekend?

Morgantown should be a horns-down festival this Saturday.  Never mind it was Texas that put them in the Big 12.

Speaking of Horns-down, can you believe this bulljive?

http://www.oudaily.com/sports/ou-football-sooners-spirit-squad-told-not-to-do-horns/article_8e2667cc-e325-11e9-a05f-dbc5a7ba8f1f.html

Sooners telling their spirit organizations not to do the horns-down?  I mean, I don't like it when they do it, but it IS part of the rivalry.

badgerfan would call this POA.  It's hard to disagree.

What is it national brotherhood week?

I have no problem with the Horns down sigh

I understanding not allowing an opposing player to do it

as it is a form of taunting but as far as the fans are concerned

go for it
They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.

Honestly?  I think Texas is gonna woodshed us.  WVU isn’t a good football team.  That being said, I’m taking my 11 yo daughter to her first college football game this weekend.  I figured a big game atmosphere would be a good way to introduce her to a live college football game, but I’ve already warned her it could get ugly fast.

But the fan in me always holds out hope.

Yeah, exactly my take.  If we're going to have on-field rules against taunting, then Horns-down is clearly a taunt that should fall within those rules.  Personally I'd be fine with eliminating all taunting rules, but as long as they're present, then it should be called on players when they do it on the field.

But students, fans, and spirit groups?  Man, I'm not sure how I'd react if I went to the Cotton Bowl and didn't see a single horns-down.  It would be weird.

Should be a fun atmosphere, for sure.  I've always wanted to catch a game in Morgantown.  Well, at least since WVU joined the B12 anyway.

I'd like to think Texas is putting it together well enough to win in woodshed fashion (no offense intended ;) ) but I'll never take WVU lightly and especially not in your home stadium.

All Soonerdom is anxiously awaiting UT to reciprocate by banning "OU Sucks!" in the middle of the fight song.

Meh.  The official spirit organizations don't do that, anyway.  The Cheerleaders and Pom Squad all distinctly say "Give 'em hell, Give 'em hell, Go Horns Go."

I'd think the band members are the ones that might be tempted to say OU sucks, but they're playing their instruments at that time and can't really say anything.

Which IMO, is more classless than Horns down.

I like Horns down.  I remember when OU used to insult A&M by doing Horns down.  It's a deeper insult than doing it to Texas.

Agree it's more classless, but it's not like the Sooners stop at doing horns-down and refrain from saying "Texas sucks" so they're not off the hook any more than we are.  I couldn't even begin to count the number of tshirts like this one, that I see ever year at the State Fair.  Plus the drunken frat boys that will run up and scream it in your ear in case you weren't able to read their tshirts.

Ain't nobody got the moral high ground on this one.

Anyway, I apologize for derailing the the thread.  We're supposed to be talking about WEST VIRGINIA doing the horns-down, not the Sooners. :)
