Thanks, Gigem.  It looks nice and official--in a half-assed sort of way, of course--when you put it in a table.  :great:

Anybody be opposed to this weeks' Question being about Bama/LSU?  I think the game will carry a pretty high level of interest and implications in the CFP picture?

Fine with me, Gigem.
Here are the results from Saturday.
The question was how many total rushing yards would the leading rusher for KU and the leading rusher for K-State gain.

For K-State, Skylar Thompson ran 17 times for 127 yards.  For Kansas, Pooka Williams ran 14 times for 61 yards.

127+61=188.

Utee: 199: +11 yards: 1 point
Fearless: 169: -19 yards: 2 points
CWSooner: 210: +22 yards: 3 points
Gigem: 222: +34 yards: 4 points
Everybody else: 5 points

OK, since this week Alabama and LSU square off as "traditional SEC powers" I thought it would be fun to compare their offense and defense against the so called "No Defense League" of the Big XII.

The question is:  What will be the difference in points combined by LSU and Alabama compared to the highest scoring Big XII game of 2019 up until this week (including this weekends games)?  In other words, if LSU and Alabama score 55 combined points, and Texas and OU scored 61 then the delta would be 6 points.

I just looked it up:  The highest scoring Big 12 game this season is Texas and Kansas, 50-48 for a total of 98 points.  2nd place goes to KSU and OU with 89.

I'm going with 35 points.

I'm taking LSU 35-28 over Alabama (the streak has to end someday right?).  My logic is that even though Alabama is a tough team, so far LSU has had the tougher schedule (hence the #1 ranking) and is more tested than Bama up until now.  Tua has been out several weeks and may not be 100% healthy and if he is he may be a little rusty.  LSU and Joe Burrows looks really tough and I think LSU will just want it worse.

Of course, I'm probably wrong and Bama will probably roll them 35-3 or something.

I realize that it's not really an apples to apples comparison comparing Bama LSU vs the highest scoring XII game, but there wasn't a top ten match up in the league so far this year.  The closest was Tx/OU as mentioned before. There have been 4 so far this season in the SEC:  Fla/Aub; LSU/Aub; and LSU/Fla; and Ga/Fla with the 5th to be played this weekend.  The high score of those games was LSU/Fla with a combined of 70 points.

No, because we are humble and neighborly over here.

Imagine asking the SEC board - "anybody opposed to the question being about Texas/OU?"  Specifically, imagine your fellow maroon comrades response.

Sure, you're in a better conference.  But you left home.

Wow, looking at those combined point totals for SEC games and B12 games, there's really not a lot of difference there.  What happened to defense in the SEC???

I didn’t say that. I think that college football fans from any conference would be interested in a 1 vs 2 matchup.

it's called the spread offense

Oh no, that couldn't possibly be.  SECSECSEC fans have assured me for decades it has nothing to do with offense and is entirely a result of bad defense.
