Don't know how they can afford that shim of wood per 1000 gallon vat, it is amazing!
HA! THat's exactly right I had red an article on that years ago - good find

"We know of no other brand produced by any other brewer that costs so much to brew and age."

That didn't age well or they're not trying hard but then these guys came up with the brilliant "Bud Light" ad campaign

Enjoying a Great Lakes Christmas Ale from the load I plundered from the local guy. Had a 21st Amendment IPA along with a Goose Island IPA also

I don't think I've had a Mickey's since I have been old enough to buy beer myself.

I'll happily drink Mickey's tonight!
They're hard to find around here though.

There are a few grocery stores that have them.
They used to sell a 40oz bottle, but the last 2 inches always ended up just being warm spit.

Haven't had it since college.  Had to be Mickey's Big Mouth with the peel-back lid.  It was a good test for sobriety, if you could open the crazily sharp and dangerous top without forcing a trip to the emergency room, you were sober enough to drink it.

When they switched over to the screw tops, I was out.

Also, it tastes bad, so there was that too...

we drank it because of the price per alcohol content

5.6% ABV American malt liquor produced by the Miller Brewing Company (Molson Coors).

Yup same here.

But then I grew up and started drinking for flavor.
