Where does Championship Sunday rank amongst your favorite days for sports?  It’s up there for me.  It isn’t the first two days of March Madness but it might be second.  Second used to be January 1 bowl games but that isn’t quite the same anymore.  Championship Sunday is above Super Bowl Sunday, though.  At least for me.
Eh. I'm clearly so excited about it that I scheduled a round of golf for 10:10 AM (games come on at 12:05 PM here).

I might be more excited if any team I cared about was still in contention. Maybe if it was Saints/Rams I'd care.

But I'm stuck between trying to decide who I want to lose more between the Packers [I grew up a Bears fan / Packers hater] and Tom Brady [hate because he's just Tom Brady], and trying to decide if I can even come up with a rooting interest in a Bills/KC matchup.

I don't have a dog in the fight either, but I'm interested in the fact that it's some of the last football I'm going to see before August

Considering there are no fans in the stands, I feel less guilty rooting for a meteor.  Maybe during the pregame QB handshake

Well you know if Brady loses, there won't be a postgame QB handshake. #soreloser

No, I get it.  The thing is, it’s not like I’m some NFL junkie either.  The first two days of the NCAA Tournament is appointment viewing for me, even to the point that it isn’t unusual for me to take vacation days (especially when WVU is in it) to watch it.  Championship Sunday isn’t nearly to that level, but I do genuinely look forward to watching the games.  It probably has something to do with the fact that I don’t have to worry in January about playing golf, or washing cars, or mowing grass, or raking leaves.  Might as well climb under a blanket and watch some football.

I'll stick with Lake Erie and pull for the Bills I guess.

rooting for the Bills

I'm surrounded by too many obnoxious Chiefs fans

and when you're surrounded by Chiefs, NOBODY circles the wagons like the Bills

Who is most likely going to be the next Patriots?  I know the obvious answer is "no one," but if you had to chose the next dominant franchise for the next 10-15 years, who would you say it was?  The Chiefs?  Brady will eventually be gone, Brees, too.  The Rams?  Roethelisberger will be gone.  The Browns?  Is that insanity?

What do you guys think?  I don't know enough about it.

KC with that offense could make a dent if their playmakers/QB return and stay healthy. Not sure we'll see the likes of Brady again for a very lo-o-ong time.Or Belichick for that matter
