Bono Guardameta is going to have his hands full with the French.

Very much looking forward to England-Norway tomorrow.

Gonna have to go with the new Wisconsin tight end on that one.

I'll be rooting for Norway but also I have to say I'd love a final 4 of France, England, Spain, and Argentina.

All countries around the world hate the US pretty much equally.  As a longtime soccer fan, you get used to it.

It's no different than being a Texas Longhorn fan honestly.  Everyone hates us no matter what we do.  No point in worrying about it.

Drastically different.

The Texas Longhorns have a long history of success.

Not recent but sure.  But that's not really my point.

I'm just talking about what it feels like, as a fan.  Being hated no matter what.  There's nothing you can do or say, no defense you can manage, no justification you can construct no matter how truthful or righteous, to oppose the forces of sheer ignorance and stupidity that align against you.

I mean you could keep losing, and eventually you could be Minnesota :57:

As my own self-coined saying goes, "Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good you are, he'll just knock over all the pieces, crap on the board, and strut around like he won."

Pretty dominant effort, though Mbappe was a little gimpy at the end

Enjoyed my fine cheeses and Bordeaux wine yesterday.

Today I'll be rooting for tapas and wine over waffles and beer.

Beautiful.  If I had more time I'd make paella.  Maybe if they make it to the semis.
