for this to happen, either thay have to dominate the West, which is possible
or steal wins from the East

5-6 conference wins for each program mean 10 losses to opponents in conference

Well Michigan State is only good some of the time, and Michigan is good even less frequently than that, so it could be done.

2003 was fun. I'm sure Jim Sorgi didn't like being choked, however.

What ever happened to that Reynolds asshole?

Wisconsin and Ohio State usually provide some thrills under the lights.
Was at a a pig roast on a beautiful autumn evening when Lee Evans from Beford Heights Ohio got by Chris Gamble who slipped. That was the 1st loss after winning the NC. Course Braxton Miller made up for it on his TD toss to Devin Miller with 20 seconds left in '11

It still makes no sense to me that he only got a 1 game suspension.  He should've been kicked off the team.

Definitely deserved  a lot more than the one game Tressel gave him. He didn't have a history before that so it was a WTF moment. He did apologize to Sorgi and Alverez

The Coach in Waiting speaks:

"You're kidding yourself if going and playing in front of 100,000 people on the road for the first time, if you're going to have that same feeling pregame that we did last week," Leonhard told reporters on Tuesday. "You can either admit that it's gonna be a lot of fun in an awesome atmosphere right now and get ready for it, or you show up on game day and go, 'Damn, this is pretty cool.'"

"First time on the road, you learn a ton about a team," Leonhard said. "You've gotta go in there with confidence and you've gotta go in there ready to communicate. You better know and trust what you're doing or they can cause some trouble. There's gonna be some situations where it's hard to talk. If you don't know what you're doing, you're gonna be in trouble.

"It's one of one on the schedule. You've gotta handle it that way, but from an approach standpoint, there's certain things that change when you play on the road. There's certain things that change when you play against talented groups that you have to understand the urgency of how you handle your business this week needs to be there."

Braelon Allen:

“We’re not going to treat this like another game, it’s not,” Allen said. “This is a big game. Once you accept and realize that fact, everything will calm down for you.”

"Your preparation is just as important, just have to do it a little bit better," Allen said. "We are looking at it as a big game. We know what it is, we’re not going to ignore that."
"He’s (Leonhard) played in many big games and this is really my biggest one," he said. "This is the biggest game that I’ve ever played in, so hearing that just makes you want to play better."

Good writer 847- you might like this.

I will probably also post it in our rankings part of the forum because it definitely talks about comparing teams.

Well he is entertaining- that was my point.  That, plus it’s interesting to see where the metrics put these teams we have been playing early this season.

I predict a damn good game.
