And here it is.

UW failed the only test it had, while OSU earned a C in its only test. Might look like a D now though.

I'm thinking UW will have two new starters on OL for this week, or at least one at RG.

Graham Mertz is looking a lot better than last year.

The defense, while replacing 8 starters from last year, still looks pretty solid.

I think this will be a good game for 3 quarters and OSU pulls away in the 4th. UW does not have the depth to keep up. Broken record, yes.

I don't think Wisconsin matches up well with the Buckeyes, but they are fundamentally sound, so I can't imagine the Buckeyes running away with things.  The Buckeye secondary seems to be the weak point of the team right now, so to win Mertz will have to hit a few shots down the field.  I don't think he'll hit enough and probably like Badge said, we'll see a close game for awhile and the Buckeyes eventually pull away.  Maybe like 31-16 or so.

If Wisconsin can’t get it defense to play more stout or running game to be more fearsome, I’m feeling a fairly non-competitive game.

Would like to be proven wrong

May be a good time to play OSU from injury standpoint.
No official reports yet- but I am guessing they will be without their starting RB, Trevon Henderson.  He left game Saturday in 1st Q and was in a walking boot after.  Also, Smith- Njigba at WR- he played for a half, but was visibly limping and holding his hamstring.  His injury from ND obviously not improved.  that leaves them with their #2 at RB ( Miyan Williams) and a true Freshmen- Dallan Hayden  Their  normal #3- Evan Pryor- is out for the season from knee injury in camp.

They played Saturday without 2 of their starting Safeties- Josh Proctor and Tanner McCallister- so don’t know if they will go.  Lastly, starting Cirner Cam Brown left the game Saturday in Q1 with an apparent leg injury.  No idea.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

The ILB's are a little smaller than what was there last year. I don't know if that translates, or that moving Bostad to OL coach from ILB coach translates.

They lost 8 players and 6-7 of them are on NFL rosters, I think. There are some bugs, of course.

For some perspective:

MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen briefly pondered the history question Saturday evening before shaking his head while at a loss for an answer. No, the 18-year-old sophomore sensation did not know the last time the Badgers had beaten Ohio State on the road in Columbus. When informed that it hadn’t occurred since 2004, Allen’s face went blank as though he were addressing an event from the Stone Age.

“I wasn’t even a year old,” Allen said. “That’s crazy.”

Over the past 10 seasons, Ohio State is an astounding 77-5 during regular-season conference games. The Buckeyes are 40-1 against Big Ten teams at home during that stretch, with the lone loss coming Nov. 21, 2015, against a Michigan State team selected for the College Football Playoff. Since that defeat, Ohio State has won 25 consecutive home games against Big Ten foes, which includes beating 12 nationally ranked opponents.

Wisconsin already? Dang, that was fast. Are they the "fixed crossover" now?

Will the "Wisconsin effect" make OSU vulnerable to Rutgers the following week?

Nothing is fixed at this point. The B1G pulled down all future schedules when it decided to accept the USC and UCLA applications.

I'm trying not to put too much stock last weeks results. (both OSU and Wisconsin rolled) I think OSU still has lots of warts, and injuries, that keep this team from being a playoff contender.

I haven't paid enough attention to Wisconsin to see if they are capable of spoiling OSU's quest to win the B1G. They did get upset earlier, have they figured out the kinks in their armor?

Night game in the Shoe, I'll be amped and ready for hopefully a classic game with the good guys (Ohio State) ultimately pulling out a victory.
