Lest you all think the weather is ALWAYS perfect here... We've got this over the next week:

It's all about the jet stream. We just got done getting screwed by it, and now it's your turn. See-saw effect, is what I've learned in my weather studies.

Yep. Which means we're already getting the folks on the radio mentioning that if you live anywhere near an area that experienced wildfires, you should be ready to evacuate due to mudslides.

Thankfully that's not an issue for me.

Rain has been pretty weak and sporadic so far, but they're saying 1-2 inches tomorrow.

Only problem is that instead of just hunkering down at home and waiting it out, we're supposed to drive up to Long Beach for a Friendsgiving thing.

1-2 inches of rain isn't all that much in many places, but this isn't "many places"... So we're hoping it's not something where we have to cancel [and leave our friends with a bunch of purchased and uneaten food] because it's actually one of the very few times I'd consider it unsafe to drive.

I'd say the hurricane prediction was badly off, they could just claim every year will be average and do better.

I opined earlier that predictions in May or so are not really better than averages.  This year is one example, my GUESS is they do slightly better than average over decades, but that's a guess.

Maybe they do worse.
