How come all the 5* RB's aren't waiting in line to transfer to Wisconsin?
The same reason bowls are played down south.

And NFL teams pay players millions of dollars to choose to live in cold places or draft them and force them to.

Colleges and universities only pay thousands of dollars, in McDonalds bags.

The answer is just kind of “because” right?

It’s the same thing where we ask why don’t more QBs want to play at a place with perpetually good OL, backs, tight ends and usually receivers? Just because.

Yes, RBs just HATE cold weather. Especially when it's low 30s, windy and raining, so you can't throw.

Every RB prays for bad weather, the night before the game.

They get the ball on every play, and the D gets tired of getting hit.

I guess not in the case of the alma mater. UW's in the starz era has only landed six four-star RBs
Clay - In-state and had to push some admissions stuff
Berger - NJ guy
Clement - NJ guy
Jackson - In-in state
Lance Smith - Ohio. Can't recall if he was a HS knucklehead, but sure was in college.
Melvin Gordon - In-state

I'd be inclinded to suggest that Fro's insinuation that RBs don't like cold weather games might be among his dumbest posts of all time, but in reality it probably doesn't even crack the top 100.

I don't think that was his insinuation at all.

I think it was that for many high-profile athletic recruits, given the choice between Madison and Miami, choose the weather advantages of Miami. He wasn't saying 5* RBs don't want to go to Wisconsin, he was saying that elite players with other options probably aren't going to Wisconsin even if the offensive scheme is a fit.

Now, some places overcome that. Michigan, Notre Dame, and OSU have helmet... But UW does not.

You'd think that a 5* OL or a 5* RB from Arizona would look at Wisconsin, because they have a very friendly scheme to showcase their talent... But do they want to spend 3 years in Madison winters with Bertha in her parka? Or can they go somewhere that will showcase their talents AND have scantily-clad coeds running around campus for a lot more of the school year?
