I'm not a huge sauerkraut guy, but I do like it on a proper reuben.

PSA: Trader Joe's Habanero sauce is... Spicy!

I know... You say, "Brad, it's a habanero sauce. Of course it's spicy!" To which I'd reply "Yeah, but I thought TJ's would tone it down because they're not trying to appeal to hardcore pepper heads..."

Nope. It's REALLY hot. It's habanero, so it also has a wonderfully fruity flavor and is a damn good hot sauce.

But we did shrimp fajitas last night and I under-appreciated how hot TJ's might go, and I kinda overdid it. It actually tasted fantastic, but I was sweating like a ***** in church...

That's not to tell you not to seek this out; it actually is delicious. Just make sure you don't go too heavy the first time you throw it into your meal. It needs more calibration than I expected...

No such thing as shrimp fajitas.

You made tacos de camarones a la parrilla.  Or, since they were spicy, you might call them tacos de camarones a la Diabla.

There was no parilla involved. They're pretty much gringo fajitas, so I'm sure I'm already taking enough liberties that I can call them whatever I want and it's not really authentic/accurate anyway.

But I take your point. I expected it would be forthcoming when I posted, actually.

Heh, it's almost like you know me.  If you did them on a griddle or in a skillet, they'd be a la plancha.

But of course, I don't really care.  Even here in heart of Central Texico where everyone knows what I just said, if I'm inviting people over for grilled shrimp tacos, it's possible I'll just call them shrimp fajitas.

Yeah, these are done in the oven on a sheet pan... As I said, gringo version :57:

This is the recipe my wife uses. It was from nobody's abuela.

Great idea.

When I retire, I was thinking about a band. Hmm.
