Badgers fought better than I expected. I think Notre Dame is pretty talented and that shone through. UW caught the wrong end of some weird calls and had some shitty game management moments.

Still, if they can be the team from the first half most of the time and play mildly cleaner, they can deliver a decent season. Can this staff get them to do that? Guess we'll see.

Hell of a game with Louisville versus Ole Miss.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

I recall UGA had been scheduled to play FSU but the nine game conference slate has ... changed things, so they pound some FCS team in record heat.  yay ...

At least now they'll play ten P4 teams each year perforce.  My guess is the future schedule with OSU/Clemson etc. will get changed.

Sorry for the rehash, but for those of us who didn't watch the Michigan game, what is the Big Ten claiming, exactly?

The clock visible on TV is supposed to be synced with the stadium clock, right?  The stadium clock is the official clock, I thought?  Are they saying the stadium clock isn't official?  That there's some official, third clock that nobody can see?  The whole thing sounds weird, but I'm not sure exactly what happened or what's now being claimed.

I saw on claim the clock goes to zero even if fractions are left.  I saw another that claimed the clock SHOULD stop as soon as the ball passes the end zone line, and didn't.

So they added a second back, stoppage time.

It LOOKS bad either way, I don't know the rule.

I figure it's just a sign Michigan might simply not be very good, akin to that ASU losing team back when that was infamous.

That is probably the thing most lost in all of this.  Even if Michigan had won the game on their first attempt at a Hail Mary, the fact that they needed a Hail Mary against Directional Michigan is concerning to say the least.

That said, this was game #1 with a new coach so growing pains are expected and frankly I don't like the set-up for the Wolverines.  It is game #1 with a new coach, new system, lots of new players and while WMU is a MAC school they are a pretty good MAC school.  They *COULD* recover.  We'll see.
