Some of these I've touched on before.

1.  Michigan wide receivers are average.  Sometimes it isn't about being athletic, sometimes you're better off going with a football player.  I heard a lot about Nico and Tarik in the off season, but I think Bell is the best of the bunch.
IMO they're much better than avg but either the QB or O-Line has been holding up the show, struggling to complete the circuit. But DPJ and Collins will be playing on sundays(probably) and it's not a stretch for Black either if he can stay injury free

Yep.  Nobody else is talking about it.

Here's the quote:
"Well, you know they are both good young coaches, Mike does a great job of communicating with people, very good recruiter, very hard worker, James is a little bit more flashier than Mike is, but I think he's more sincere.  So they are both doing well and I feel good about both of them."

Reading this again, perhaps he meant that Locksley was more sincere by the pronoun "he."  Or perhaps he meant that Franklin was more sincere "than he appears" or something like that.  Watching it live it does appear that Fridge is saying that Franklin is more sincere.

Here's a link to the exchange online, happens at 41 minutes in.  The quality is terrible, but you can still hear him.

Yeah, could be.  Maybe he just worded it poorly but when I heard him say it it was definitely something that made me stop what I was doing and wonder if I heard it right.

They just don't seem to be getting open.  It seems like they run the route they are supposed to, but then they never improvise and come back to ball or go downfield.  Athletic freaks?  yes.  Wide receivers?  Not yet.

Bama - At A&M, at Auburn,  LSU.

Auburn - At Florida, at LSU, UGA, Bama (ouch)

LSU - Florida, @ Bama, Auburn, A&M  (A&M may not be that much)

UGA - Florida (NS), A&M, @ Auburn

Florida - UGA (NS), Auburn, @ LSU

A 2 loss SEC champ is possible.
That would probably preclude the SEC putting 3 teams in the CFP.

UGA loses only to Florida.
Florida loses only to LSU.
Alabama goes undefeated.
LSU loses only to Alabama.
Auburn poops the bed.

11-1 UGA
11-1 Florida
12-0 Bama
11-1 LSU

Florida beats Bama in SECCG.
12-1 Bama
12-1 Florida (SEC Champ)
11-1 UGA
11-1 LSU

1. Sure, whatever you say.
2. Franklin is very likeable and a good recruiter.  I was underwhelmed when he was hired but he's been recruiting well and winning games surpassing my expectations.
3. Unrestricted transfer's are fine if the athlete has graduated with eligibility remaining.  And I don't think it disproportionately benefits "helmet" schools.
4. No comment
5. The Gophers are no match for the Nitts talent wise unless TCF Bank stadium floods and the Nitts forgot to bring their oars.
6.  I like having Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State, and the Buckeyes as snug as a bug in the same division.  I bet most in the West would agree.  Kind of wish Notre Dame was there too instead of Rutgers.
7. No comment
8.  Wisconsin is good.  Hard to see Iowa, Minnesota, or Nebraska beating them.  The preseason perception of parity in the West has evaporated.   They'll be in Indy come December.

On the transfer rule, I don't think the helmet schools will get a big benefit from this.  Schools like Bama are going to lose some blue chip players simply because they are already stacked.  I don't think you'll see them cherry picking stars from the 2nd tier schools, they'd rather get the HS stars and keep them for 3 to 4 years.

UGA has benefited from several grad transfers in the past 2-3 years, not major players, but very good players who filled a key need.  UGA may not be a helmet school of course but they recruit well.  I agree the 5 star types are leaving UGA though, two last year.

One had to sit a year at Illinois where he went because he wanted to be back home and his grandpa is sick, one is starting for OSU who wanted more PT.

Being a bit bored yesterday around 5 PM, I checked the SEC N on the TV and there was the Finebaum show, talk about stirring the pot.  I tried to listen/watch for 15 minutes or so, suffice it to say it's not my cup of tea.  I was looking in vain for some comedic effect.  I'd seen it before long enough to realize it's not MCoT, but this is the first time I tried to stay with it more than 2 minutes.

Is there any reason to believe Finebaum is any kind of CFB "expert"?  Rhetorical question.

Anyway, I thought they might have a replay of sau the USCe-UK game, which I would have watched for a half hour.

Cincinnati long ago had a radio talk show host named Bob Trumpy who basically disagreed with whatever the caller said.  I called in once and told him he was exactly right that "UK would not make the final four that year", which he had JUST told the previous called, a UK fan, and Trumpy argued with me.

Finebaum isn't that sort, he seems to quasi-go along with the callers to a degree, often I cannot understand their point they take forever to get to whatever it is, if ever.

One caller was going on and on about how two other long time callers no longer called in.  OK then.

It's his callers who are unlistenable to me.  Of course, I cannot understand 2/3rds of what they say, but the TV has captioning, which was the most amusing thing about the episode, seeing what the captions were translating.

These callers must all be from somewhere I've never been like North Dakota.

It would make a ton of sense for Ralph to call Franklin "more sincere" (and mean it) since Franklin was the reason Ralph couldn't coach again another year at Maryland after a nine-win season.

Think about it.
