the 409 was rare and expensive
He said bought it used from a friend at the track where he "worked".

I seem to recall the rag top was light grey or white. I was 2 when he sold it.

Somehow I had left a kitchen chair at her apartment and one day she shows up to "return the chair".  One thing led to another and I thought we were back on, but that was it.  I still miss that car ....

I had a gf in Cedar Park that behaved kinda like that.  She didn't come with a cool car, tho.

I seem to have become entangled in the past with females who SEEMED nice and sensible, and turned out not to be.

You wouldn't believe how many times I've heard that story.  Yesterday's festivities until about 5:30 pm the latest illustration.

Here's the blue/white combo of Dad's 64, just reversed:

It's already sold.  Had been listed for $32,500. No saving that one.

In like 1987 we drove out to Denver to look at a solid white one, he was hesitant, but I talked him into buying it.  $2,500, and the body was very nicely done.

He ended up selling it for $1500 to a local kid, who ended up blowing the motor up.

Shame.  All around.

Yeah I hear ya.  Not anything nearly so stylish but we sold our perfectly good Honda Accord that could have gone another 100K miles no problem, for like $2,000 to my nephew, who promptly turned around and totaled it by smashing it into a tree.

Worst part is, we replaced it with that piece of shit Toyota from hell.  Never gonna make that mistake again.

Something like that.

But then of course, my i s c & a aggie wife is a CP girl and she has a very cool Jeep, and my daughter is a CP girl and she drives a Mustang convertible, so it just goes to show what "they" know.
