We watch the extended editions most every Christmas break from work, so obviously they are Christmas movies

Yup same here.  LOTR, Harry Potter, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe are watched every Christmas break.

Also, Die Hard and Rudolph and Santa Claus is Coming To Town.

ALL the Harry Potters?

I don't think we could ever find the time between all the family stuff and here-and-thereing that goes on.

Yeah, most of them.  We always have them on in the background when we're wrapping presents or making cookies or cooking dinner or whatever.  We're typically done with our shopping before the break starts, and our parents live in town, so we're not spending much time running around or traveling.

I don’t know why, but I definitely didn’t think they had a “December“ in that universe.

They have several various Calendars in Middle Earth, depending on race/region, that all translated in some way to the Gregorian calendar.  Most of the details are in the appendices and additional author's notes, not the actual books themselves.  You've got to be a real nerd to know this stuff...
