I THINK maybe a Top Ten in a city or county MIGHT be worth noting. Anything beyond that is clearly guesswork, even the Michelin ratings strike me as dubious. They can't possibly try every good restaurant in a place the size of Atlanta or LA.And supposedly they try winners several times. I don't even know how they start with a basic list.
With a food item like pizza, it's so variable, personal tastes prevail, and what one person views as great another would not. BBQ would be better, I think, if one has a standard, like Texas style. But just BBQ, someone might have superb eastern Caolina BBQ and consider it to be bad.
