no need to start now
Well, who I root for obviously has not much impact on the outcome.

Had to listen on XM on the way home from The Boys from Oklahoma II yesterday.  Would have liked Young or Burns to win their first, then go to Scottie, but in the end, McIlroy didn't quite choke it away, again.  Got home in time to see that tee shot on 18 and manage to save bogey and hang on.

Now, happy.  We all survived another trip from Stillwater back to Edmond to the Air BnB after the 8 hour concert.  And my 5 hour drive home yesterday.  F'ing idiots on the road...

I don't pay much attention to golf, and the only reason I know who Burns is, is because he's a former LSU guy.  Apparently he started the day in 3rd place but wound up tied for 7th.

What happens if someone ties for first?

They got to a sudden death playoff.

I'm sure Rory's tee shot on 18 got Scheffler up and moving on the range.

The Masters has implemented the 4-hole aggregate playoff.

I like the US Open--the playoff is another 18 the next day.

That would kinda suck for the patrons to change their travel plans to stick around, but I think the people that can afford to be at The Masters could swing it.

Hasn't changed. Still sudden death: https://www.golfdigest.com/story/masters-playoff-format-rules-holes-augusta-national

Since 2018, the US Open is a 2-hole aggregate playoff, not a full 18 the next day: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Open_(golf)#Playoff_format

What made you happy today?

Having time and energy after work today, to start cleaning up and preparing my extensive rose beds for their Late May / Early June blooming cycle, made me happy today, after other early spring garden chores were nearing completion. Multiple people have told me that their deceased loved ones in our neighborhood enjoyed walking by my rose beds along the sidewalk. I created this sight not just for me, but for our neighborhood, so I enjoy hearing the reports, even if I did not hear those reports from them personally.

We finally got our roses prepared for spring here last week, about a week or two later than usual.   one of the older ladies that walks by always asks what we use, and how do we do it, etc. etc.   clearly brings a lot of joy to her and her family.     it is always fascinating to me how some folks seem to think it is really complicated or hard to care for roses.   I kind of come off as Nick Saban and the 'process' whenever people ask me about caring for roses.

it is rewarding to know other people care about the roses that you choose to care for.
