So both can be true... Bigger total enrollment but undergrad very selective...

I idly wonder how common it is to have a larger grad student population than undergrad.  This is a pretty large swing.

 Georgia Tech’s total enrollment is 53,067 students, an 11.4% increase from Spring 2024. Graduate students make up the majority of the student body, with 33,802 enrolled this semester. 

The University of Georgia (UGA) has a total enrollment of approximately 43,888 students as of fall 2025, with over 30,000 undergraduates. 

I was just reading that UGA is adding a medical and nursing school on campus.  The med school historically has been in Augusta.  They also offer engineering majors now.  This seems weird to me.  Anyway, for undergrad, UGA has about 30,000+ undergrads and Tech has about 20,000 undergrads, still a pretty large figure.

Maybe, they really don't have the graduate programs at this point, I suspect.  I'm sure if they got in they would feature that prominently.

The university I work at has a larger grad enrollment than undergrad. 

I have an analyst tool that I should be able to check that with, when I get some time.  However, I think I can only look at one university at a time.  Don't think it will aggregate the numbers and percentages of grads/non-grads across all schools nationally.  I think it's also limited to schools that participate with the PDP, which is not everybody.

I helped two different parties hoist heavy stuff into their carts at Costco today. My good deed for the day is done. 

Tonight we're doing virtual happy hour with my Purdue buddy and his wife in NC. So that'll be fun. It's been too long since the last one.

Being a “ dog person “ will help those of you who are- understand why this made me happy. 

My German Shepherd- Brutus- had his back right leg amputated Wednesday due to a very aggressive cancer in his knee joint.  The cancer will get him- but not today.  

Since he came home last night we have helped him move around with a body sling.  It takes a few weeks and most dogs adjust extremely well and become self sufficient.   But we are going easy- he is still in pain meds.  

Just a few moments ago, sitting in my back patio, he saw a squirrel on or back fence.    He got up quickly, unassisted, sprinted across the deck and chased the squirrel away.   He then proceeded to calmly get on his preferred lawn chair, and chill.  

We were shocked and happy.  Dogs can amaze sometimes.

That's the thing... The dog had 4 legs. Now he has 3. He doesn't understand why. He just woke up one leg short... 

...but that fuckin' squirrel is a problem, and he's gonna deal with it! :57:

I have also read that dogs have notoriously high pain thresholds. So while it probably hurt to make that sprint post surgery, he could take it.

Dogs are awesome. (not because of the pain threshold thing.)
