My son was accepted to Purdue!

He may or may not ultimately choose to go there, but at least I never have to be mad at my alma mater for denying him :57:

The house down the street from me where their pit bull attacked a neighbor's golden retriever (and I had to intervene), and who put a nasty note on my son's car once b/c he had the audacity to park in the public on-street parking in front of their house...

...is getting foreclosed and their house is up for auction.

It wouldn't suck. However I don't really know how to navigate an auction and I suspect that the cracks I'm seeing in the RE market are deepening based on what I see in inventory on Zillow...

It backs up to a water reservoir, that is completely covered in a giant black membrane (currently being replaced as the previous went out of service). If they were ever to return it to being an open reservoir, it would be a FABULOUS investment as that would give it an immediate water view. But given that they're replacing the membrane, it doesn't seem there's any indication they'll open it.

I'm told they all move out after a couple of years because Texas is so awful, I'm sure that's true.

In unrelated news, in my neck of the woods $800K can get you a decent-sized 3-2 on 2.5 acres...
