I called an auto shop a few weeks ago about getting my front suspension fixed.  Quoted me about $1500.

I go in to another location, same company yesterday and ask for an estimate.  $2400.
I told them about the price I got over the phone weeks earlier and without any haggling or arguing or anything, they said they'd make it work.  I couldn't even specify which location I had spoken with.

Got it done for $1500.
That's a place I'll come back to, for sure (as long as it doesn't fall apart on my way to Sedona, lol).

I broke down and opened a bottle of Kirkland Chateauneuf last night, and then another.  *My wife liked it too.

Very to happy to have a FD without a bunch of forced activity.    great morning diner style breakfast at home, perfectly executed.

finished up plans for upcoming Alaska trip and watched a very entertaining US Open.    Good for Spaun, especially the way his day started.

Having a few drinks and then a nice dinner at Outback with my youngest daughter made me happy today

up a little early this morning, but for a good reason....... headed to a golf outing near Des Moines - large scramble event that starts at 10am. about (30) 6-man teams followed with catered meal and keg by the beach.

Means I'll be on the road at 8am and won't be able to attend the Monday morning Teams meeting!

Had the kids and their significant others for dinner last night after playing a 9 hole round of par-3 golf with SFIrish. Pretty darned good father's day.
