5 guys made me happy - haven't been to one in nearly 20 years - it was worth it.

and I couldn't eat all the Cajun Fries!
not to mention, it's on my boss's tab, but I get 3% cashback on my Capital One Savor card and 23% cashback on my Upside app.

It got to the point I couldn't raise my arm without pain, so I had it checked out, torn labrum and miscellanous debris.  Surgery fixed the pain by my arm is still quite dead.  I can MAYBE throw 60, but probably more like 55.
Ya I tore my labrum not sure when,MRI even showed it looked like the liberty bell crack.Physician perscribed therapy which waisted time. So I got a cortizone shot  and said come back if it hurts. Well I went back at 2 yrs even thought I wasn't hurting but the appt. was covered so what the hell. Told me to come back when it hurts again and that was 2019. I just don't golf anymore, not that i was any good before just didn't want to aggravate it

Hey, $23 for fast food, in Iowa, on the boss's tab, is certainly reason for joy!

This is sort of a combination of things encompassing more than today, but it had a singular point this morning that made me think to post.

My youngest stepson graduates this Friday with his Mech. Eng. degree, which makes me happy.

We don't have to pay tuition ever again, which makes me happy.

When doing a project for the Registrar's Office last month one of them mentioned to me that they could get me reserved seating at the arena where the graduation takes place.  I snagged 7 seats and this morning my confirmation email came.  We're right by the "exit" side of the stage, where graduates are facing as they walk, and where they walk off after receiving their diploma, on the first row.  Mrs. DeT will have a prime spot to take some really good pictures as he's walking.  That made me happy.

Oh, and lest I forget, I get half the day off Friday with no vacation/sick time used, so that I can attend the graduation.  That also makes me happy.

Now, if the little fart will get a job in short order, that will make me even happier.

T-minus 3 days until I depart for a 7 day Gulf of America vacation.

The wife, 2 daughters, son-in law, and 2 grandkids --- that makes them happy.

We'll see about how I feel about it after a few days......;)

He should, but that probably goes in the "What did not make you happy today?" thread.

End of the month we fly out to San Diego because a step grandson is graduating HS.  The family makes a much larger deal over this than mine did back in the day.  I don't mind the trip much, but they have a small house and invite over a large number of folks and it gets quite noisy.  My wife limited our time in SD to 2 days, which I can manage better than the five we spent last trip.  I don't do well with a lot of noise.

I never viewed graduating HS as a major thing, but whatever.  A good thing is I hope anyway driving up to Palm Springs after for a few days.  I stayed there years ago with a kid was being "hosted" by a certain military branch for MOS training at "The Strumps", it was called.  They managed to find a desolate area for it, freezing at night and very hot in the day.
