THIS DAY IN HISTORY:
Downed US Air Force Pilot Rescued in Bosnia (1995)
On June 2, 1995, US Air Force pilot Scott O'Grady was enforcing a NATO no-fly zone over Bosnia when his F-16 was hit by a surface-to-air missile. He ejected and, for the next six days, survived in the wilderness by eating leaves and ants. During that time, he avoided capture by Serb patrols and made contact with US forces. The Marines then mounted a daring rescue and brought him home. The 2001 film Behind Enemy Lines is loosely based on O'Grady's ordeal.

It could be called just the Missouri River instead, it would be longer.  It's interesting how few rivers flow into it from the southeast south of the Tennessee.

The Missouri is the longest River in the country.

The TVA is interesting to me. So many damned dams.

I don't know how it was measured or if said measurement is valid, at all.

Maybe they surveyed 100 people or something, which wouldn't be very valid.

I'd venture to say that in Ohio I prolly hear more Spanish and middle east gibberish. There are 2 women volunteers at the Food Pantry one Hungarian the other German/Polish woman that speak those languages. But mostly what I hear is from south of the border

I'd guess Spanish is second most prevalent in most states, maybe Hawaii and Alaska and Maine excepted.

In California, is was obviously VERY prevalent.

This statement is literally the heading for the graphic.

Other than English or Spanish. Cubans speak the latter, mostly.

We do have a lot of Haitian migrants here (on the other side).

We do get a lot of Europeans on this side. I'm gonna go with German or Polish here. Possibly Greek, although they are more populous in the Tampa area.

Those are the most common ethnic restaurants I see.

visiting with relatives in for the weekend and see Medina is still screaming like a cat caught in a fan belt
The British Army acquitted itself quite well in both WWI and WWII.  They were clearly and obviously superior man-for-man to the every army involved in WWI with the exception of the Germans

Here's a hot take for you: the concept of this soldier is inherently better than that soldier is ridiculous.
That MB is basically pointing your opinion is absurd. But you spin it somehow as an affirmation.  Any other rare gems you'd like to mine for the comment section today??

And here is what just one entry into a search engine produced:
The heaviest loss of life for a single day occurred on July 1, 1916, during the Battle of the Somme, when the British Army suffered 57,470 casualties.

But-but-but ,They were clearly and obviously superior man-for-man to the every army involved in WWI with the exception of the Germans(according to you). The Gerries weren't that exceptional all they had to do was aim and shoot. As the clearly and obviously superior British officers sent wave after wave up and over the top - repeatedly. But they were still probably better at commanding than you are commenting

@MrNubbz just stop, you are only further embarrassing yourself.

You are obviously in WAY over your head here.
You've been schooled repeatedly by me and now you've also been schooled by @847badgerfan , @SFBadger96 , and I think even @Cincydawg got in on the act.

You made multiple factually inaccurate statements and got called out on it. Apologize, respect people who are more knowledgeable than you, thank us for educating you, and STFU.
Oh Sure John Candy GIF - Oh Sure John Candy Ok - Discover ...

Could you possibly be a bigger suck up/name dropping dweeb - US? In your land of make believe you've convinced yourself everyone's backing your play? Mentioning other posters and lumping them together with yourself just smacks of desperation. Who - clearly and obviously neither quoted your posts, hit the likes button or even followed up with an atta boy. So you are clearly and obviously full of shit. Now you may get back to your regularly scheduled hiney smooching

THIS DAY IN HISTORY:

Donald Duck Debuts in The Little Wise Hen (1934)
Clad in his signature sailor shirt and cap, the perennially pants-less cartoon character Donald Duck made his debut in Disney's The Wise Little Hen. His comically short temper and distinct voice quickly endeared him to audiences, and he became a regular character in Mickey Mouse cartoons. Donald remains quite popular in Scandinavia, as evidenced by the Christmas Eve tradition of watching a TV special featuring him.
