RIP Sonny,he looked liked hell when i was a kid,prolly from getting hammered on/off the Field. Gamer and a fun lovin' guy and the game and country could use more like him

I remember when Wilford Brimley died I was shocked that wasn’t dead like 20 years previously. I was even more shocked that he wasn’t like 100 years old. I think he was in his early 80’s. In the movie they represented his age as mid 70’s. 

I know a guy I went to school with. I saw him the other day. If I didn’t know ahead of time I was meeting him I wouldn’t have recognized him. He could have passed for 70 easy, even though he’s only a year or two older than me.

I still watch Varsity Blues on about an every-other-year basis, and each time it seems like another cast member has sadly passed away.

Paul Walker, Ron Lester who played Billy Bob, the actor who played Mox's younger brother, and now James Van Der Beek 😔

On a more somber note, the lead singer of 3 Doors Down, Brad Arnold, has passed away at age 47 after a prolonged battle with cancer. Listened to a lot of 3 Doors Down in high school, particularly their 2000 album The Better Life.

How weird....not two days ago I randomly thought of that band and pulled up their popular song Kryptonite on Spotify.  I haven't listened to them in 20 years, I'd say, and barely thought of them in the meantime.  This is the first I'd heard about the guy dying or having been sick, so it wasn't that which made me think of them. 

EDIT:  shyte.....I just read what kind of cancer he died from.  Renal cell carcinoma....same thing I had last year.  What a sobering reminder of how fortunate I am that it was randomly caught so early.

I let Amazon music and Pandora get pretty liberal whilst DJing my music and so I heard 3 Doors Down pretty regularly.  Sad to hear the news.

Anyway, RIP to Dawson as well.

darn good guy, attended a few Sharkwater parties, he had great conversations with Gatorama at a Sharkwater party.
Always had his wife with him.  K.G.???  She was a board regular.  She passed a couple seasons ago as well.
he worked and wrote for one of the newspapers in Lincoln (Scribe)
