Treasury posts unexpected surplus in June as tariff receipts surge

  • With government red ink swelling throughout the year, June saw a surplus of just over $27 billion, following a $316 billion deficit in May.
  • Customs duties totaled about $27 billion for the month, up from $23 billion in May and a 301% gain from June 2024.

Bondi really screwed the pooch.
The boss ordered the hit.

The only way that move makes any sense (and "make sense" in the transactional, zero-sum, everything-is-leverage, mob boss way that this administration runs) is if Trump is balls deep into the list. You know damn well if there were ANY Democrats on there, everyone in the White House would be shouting it from the rooftops.

If Trump was balls deep in the list, the FBI would have released it a long time ago on the autopen's orders. Don't kid yourself.

I would think were Trump on "the list", they never would have brought it up at all, and would not have indicted Maxwell when he was President.

An explanation is Bondi is just ragingly incompetent and said stuff that should never have been said.  This was not an issue before that pronouncement.

many many politicians on both sides of the isle on that list
and many many friends and big donors of politicians on both sides
many folks very very powerful on the list
Bondi should have never promised anything

The pretty blonde appointee is ragingly incompetent?  Hmmph.

I think it's shear speculation who might be on some list, and whether a list really ever existed.  I don't know of any factual basis behind it other than it has been talked about forever.

The Epstein list was released years ago so we already know who was involved - what else does anyone expect to learn?

We know who flew on the plane (Trump) and who went to the island (Clinton).

I mean I think Bondi made promises she couldn’t keep but are we going to learn anything new?

it's shear speculation but, it causes me to think there are enough powerful people on both sides(which is the same side) that there is NO WAY the list was gonna be made public

involved?  flew on the plane? visited the island?
folks want to know who had sex with minors - that list
that's the only list that matters.

Well I just assumed whoever visited the island (or New Mexico?) were going for one reason and one reason only.

But I’m not sure how you can release a list of names without the accompanying evidence?

It's not an either/or proposition: Bondi can be both stunningly incompetent AND be ordered to take the fall for the boss' hit.

Loyalty only goes one way in this White House.

It's really, really reassuring that we're going to have Marco Rubio as Secretary of State, NASA Administrator, AND the Attorney General.

FBI Memo, July 2025

This systematic review revealed no incriminating “client list.” There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties. Consistent with prior disclosures, this review confirmed that Epstein harmed over one thousand victims. Each suffered unique trauma. Sensitive information relating to these victims is intertwined throughout the materials. This includes specific details such as victim names and likenesses, physical descriptions, places of birth, associates, and employment history. One of our highest priorities is combatting child exploitation and bringing justice to victims. Perpetuating unfounded theories about Epstein serves neither of those ends.
