Sounds like they coordinated with Qatar and let them know ahead of time so that civilians could be warned and evacuated if necessary.  Same as last time, these are all moves to save face.  Hopefully Trump can leave it at that.  I guess we'll see.

When the US took out Sulemani, Iran countered by lobbing some missiles at the base in Iran, and that ended it.

Iran has its hands more than full with just Israel.  My GUESS is they are repeating what they did last time, for show.

yeah, no. this is way different. they drone struck and assassinated Solemani in Iraq while he was on a diplomatic mission (an outrage to be honest but nowhere near as crazy as this)- not within Iranian soil, and it was one attack with a drone, not multiple bombing runs with US stealth bombers from halfway around the world at 3 different sites within Iranian soil.

And Iran was not simultaneously in a direct hot war with a wholly funded & armed US proxy (Israel) at the time when Trump bombed Solemani and they did not give US warning to stay out like they have done now. Which that warning is bullshit anyway as US was already deeply involved with helping Israel carry out this war both offensively & defensively.

Israel has had it's hands full running operations in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria simultaneously- now they just started a war with Iran. They are incapable of dealing with Iran for much longer. Their missile defense systems are insanely expensive and not that effective whereas Iranian missiles & drones are orders of magnitude cheaper than Israeli missile defense systems- they don't care if they sacrifice shitty old missiles or cheap drones to get their newer stuff through and hit targets inside of Israel.

And make no mistake- Israel is getting absolutely pounded right now- they need this to end more than the Iranians do- which is why Israel has the propaganda control machine at work in full force- hence why the government of Israel has barred citizens from posting any damage on social media and is arresting people for posting videos on social media of destroyed buildings & infrastructure. Mind you this is the same government that has completely barred independent international journalists from covering the war in Gaza because they don't want their war crimes exposed- they are REALLY good at the information control & propaganda thing.

Israel is already over-extended with their wars of aggression and conquest. They are royally fucked if Daddy America does not come bail them out here.

I think it's over unless something else pops up.  Iran had it's "retaliation", for domestic consumption, the US doesn't need to respond.

I hope you're right. But if Israel keeps this thing going with Iran they will start to lose badly- and they will need Daddy America to come and save them. I'd rather not.

This is already having negative effects on the world stage to American's reputation. Japan & South Korea were both suppose to be at a NATO summit in The Hague and both have withdrawn in protest over the US bombing of Iran.

Japan and South Korea are actual important allies that the United States mutually benefits greatly from and actually needs on our side in opposition to China. Israel is not. They are a complete drain on the United States of America and a net negative. Full stop. Point blank. Period. We need to ditch them and the sooner the better.

Eh, if Japan and S. Korea want to maintain their sovereignty and not be speaking Mandarin in a decade, then they'll need to continue being allies with the USA.

I don't support the USA bombing Iran, and I understand their imperative to protest it as well, but ultimately they don't really have any choice in the matter.  Unless they're fine with getting on board with the CCP.
