Since the Fed is hypothetically accountable to Congress, I'm not sure how to avoid it being subject to political pressures.  May be more accurate to say it should not be subject to Executive branch political pressure. 

But like Medina said, it's nothing new.  I can't remember a prez in my lifetime that wasn't calling for the Fed to do somethin'or'nuther.

I don't know if it's the "best breakdown" of the tariffs, but it's certainly an alternative view to the histrionics occurring in most legacy/mainstream media outlets.
