I've always assumed Texas is comfortably in it's place, #2
no need to state the obvious
Evidently it's a bit of a touchy subject.

I always laugh when some derpy slapdick talks about Alaska's size, usually in some weak attempt to put a Texan in his place.

I taking my family to Alaska for a week this summer.    For as much area as we're likely to cover...eh,  just ridiculous.

He needs to acknowledge the difference between proven vaccines, which have been thrown under the bus by fake science, that every school district has required for generations.  And what are new science, which no school district requires.  All of our kids are fully vaccinated.  and per pediatricians instructions, did not get a covid booster this year.  They could have. he said it probably wouldn't hurt, but he didnt think it would help.  I think having him draw a line between proven vaccines and new vaccines would do wonders.  If you have a good doctor, and ask the right questions, you can get those answers.  the problem is most people get their medical answers from Twitter.  So RFK needs to do his job and differenciate between the two and recommend talking to your doctor

Nuance isn't a thing anymore.  Everything is all or nothing.  And to alter/quote you here:  most young people get all of their everything from Tik Tok.

It's all broken.

in regards to vaccines/measles…pretty sure that utee has pointed out this particular outbreak in Texas has been concentrated mainly in a mennonite community- well which means they probably aren’t getting their vaccine advice or any advice for that matter from Twitter- as I’m pretty sure those guys are basically very similar to the Amish and don’t use modern voodoo technology like cell phones and the internet….

The primary difference between them is that the Mennonites drive cars, and use the voodoo technology.

The Mennonites have the most "religious exceptions" to getting school vaccines.  We're seeing the results of that.  They likely are not seeking advice from anywhere.

I don't think "most people" get medical advice from social media, obviously a fair number do.  We particularly see popular diet fads come and go.

I also think the country is still in decent shape overall despite obvious issues.

I do look up "medical advice" from sites I think are good, Mayo Clinic etc.  The "seed oil" thing is bouncing around a lot these days.

Is seed oil bad or good these days?  The pendulum swings and I never know where we are on that topic.

According to FB ads, it's the worst thing possible, pure poison.  According to sites like the Mayo Clinic and others, seed oils are fine.
