When I was in school, every so often I'd go on a vegetarian diet for a week. Part was because I was poor, part was to see what would happen. Of course, at 21ish and very thin, there wasn't much obvious short term benefit to be had. It was cheaper, otherwise I'd buy chicken and grill it (usually) and occasionally burgers.
I don't know how long today I'd be able to do it, a week for sure, but permanently? Nope. I make cabbage soup pretty often with onion/garlic/celery/carrots/tomatoes. My wife likes it pretty much. It's not bad. It gets old after a while.
My eye doc said not to exercise for a week, and it's raining, so I've been pretty sedentary, other than some stretching and walking.
