Maybe you have some reference to it.  It does contain fructose, which is problematic, but in about the same proportion as sucrose (table sugar).  Chemically, it's VERY similar to sucrose in terms of fructose:glucose ratios.  I think fructose (fruit sugar) should be avoided when possible, but that includes table sugar which is about half fructose.

Your information is simply factually incorrect, but it's your choice as to what to believe.  (I don't think it's good for us either, but it's no worse than table sugar.)

I was surprised how prevalent smoking was in Istanbul.  I've also been surprised how many young females in France smoke.

I guess it depends on which "authority" you believe.   But I can tell you from personal experience, when I cut it out of my diet, I lost weight, my cholesterol numbers improved dramatically, my blood sugar improved dramatically, my energy level increased and became more consistent. And this was on the advice of a trusted Doctor.   On top of all that-I find the taste of foods and beverages that are free of HFCS is significantly better, and I dont know a human who has a different opinion on that (for those who have actually made a true comparison side by side).
