Congratulations on shedding the debt.

I never really had much debt until recently and that’s because of my business. My wife is very conservative when it comes to money so I’ve been fortunate in that regard.

It’s strange when you look at big companies like Apple that have tens of billions in the bank and they still have debt.

I knew a finance director pretty well where I worked, this is very common with large companies.  Part of it is "opportunity cash", keeping a rainy day fund as it were, or a fund to make a large acquisition that pops up without issueing stock.  And they may have debt at favorable rates and not desire to pay it down.  A company that borrowed four years ago at 0.5% probably likes that.

My wife and I both view debt as an anathema, necessary at times, but only for buying a home.  I went into debt after my divorce and it was painful personally, but I was able to climb out pretty quickly.  We're a year away from having the condo paid off even though the loan rate is pretty good.  We just want it gone.  And if something happens to me, I'd like my wife to be able to manage on her own here, even if she decides to downsize at some point.

Either one of us would be very content in a two bedroom unit in this building.

The national debt, to me, is loke "climate change" (or the weather).

I just created 1970 Marshall for a WN order.  Feels weird.

Centennial Yards scores nearly $600M in financing to fuel growth | Urbanize Atlanta

I was pondering this sort of thing, it's being built up around MB stadium, entertainment district and apartments etc.  I see this happening around baseball stadia mostly for obvious reasons.  Has anyone tried this with a CFB venue?  Probably too few games.

I hope this works out, the area is otherwise pretty barren.  I just don't know.

I know anecdote isn't data, but my wife's office was replacing their medical assistant a little over a year ago. Resumes coming in were scarce and weak.

They actually just went through another hiring. Resumes were much more plentiful and higher quality, and the applicants seemed more motivated and willing to follow up after interviews.
