Yup, and I'm not really onboard with a majority of the policy from either of the two major parties, so I'll probably vote 3rd party once again, as I have done most elections since I've been allowed to vote.

Immigration, economy, national security, no wars, less regulation, more good American jobs, less reliance on other countries for goods.

I'm on board for those things.

Biden has started no wars, nor has he committed American servicemen to either Ukraine or Israel. The economy has been humming. Unemployment is basically at/above "full employment" level. Domestic oil production is at record levels. Trade deficit was higher under GWB than Obama, and higher under Trump than Obama.

We have some inflation problems. But so does the entire world. I'll give you that we've had more immigration and regulation. 

I don't really have a good way to measure "national security".

But I fail to see how the R party has credibility on a number of those things you mention. It's their "brand", but they often fail to deliver.

I did mention immigration. 

However, obviously I didn't do a deep dive. 

Guess what happens when the economy is good? We have a higher trade deficit and more immigration. Guess what happens when the economy sucks? We have a lower trade deficit and lower immigration. Which if we dig into the numbers is why the trade deficit hit the floor under Obama; it was the Great Recession. The same is true of illegal immigration. Look at the precipitous drop from 2007-2010. That was the Great Recession. 



So maybe the high trade deficit is because the economy is good and people have money to spend, and high illegal immigration is because the economy is good and people want to come here, albeit illegally, to get jobs.

Well I guess if we look at the graph, we should also try Reagan, Clinton, and GWB for treason, huh? \

But GHWB gets a pass. After all, immigration went down during his term. And hmm, it also went down under GWB's first term. 

Let's see, what do those things have in common? 



Huh. Fancy that. We, now that we add in the Great Recession, are 3 for 3 that recession correlates to fewer border patrol apprehensions. Makes you think that maybe when our economy sucks, people aren't trying so much to hop the border to come in?
