Its like you were asleep and just woke up
The tax cuts was a central part of Trumps message as was a border wall
Its hard to construct a wall when the Dems voted against every mention of it
Its to Trumps credit that there was any wall construction at all
Trump claimed folks like him would be paying more after the "tax cut", which obviously didn't happen.  Congress contrived it, Trump didn't even read it.

He promised a border wall, it was silly then, and didn't happen beyond a few miles.  I don't like excuses for everything promised.

In my view, Trump doesn't understand how to get anything of substance done in DC.  And he won't in the future if elected.  And he'll have excuses.

Trump vs. Harris: Here's how the election could affect your taxes (cnbc.com)
Trump vs. Harris: Here's how the election could affect your taxes (cnbc.com)

Good grief, these "plans", if you call them that, are lame, mostly irrelevant, and dumb for the most part.  Nearly everything is a give away for votes, hardly anything would reduce the deficit.  There is a claim increasing the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28% would reduce it by some amount (not really clear to me).  Corporate tax revenue is a pretty small part of total revenue.

Most of Europe is around 21% anyway.

And tariffs obviously would be paid for by .... us.  And this "tax the rich" notion is just silliness, to me.

You are so off on this.  The border was so much more than the wall.  Do you not remember the Dems screaming about it?  Do you not remember Biden signing all of those orders on day 1- specifically to reverse Trumps changes? Do you not remember the biggest tax cut in history?  Do you not remember what he did to NAFTA? Do you not remember the Middle East Peace agreement he brokered? The opportunity zones? The deregulation, often labeled the greatest ( and hated by many) deregulation in history.    I could go on.

If you want to say you are against everything he did, fair enough.  But as far as getting things done- there was a ton.

What do you think will be outcome of raising corporate taxes that much?  ( hint: history is your guide)

I dont recall him saying he would pay more only that the middle class would pay less

and once again the Dems controlled the House and blocked every bill that had any funds for a wall
not sure why you have a hard time remembering that

Trump made good on a number of his promises

If what I think is coming actually happens you will see Trump and a Rep controlled congress
which will almost guarantee Trump will get his way

You only bring up the tax cut not giving ang credit to Trump and the wall
Trump achieved much more then those two items during his time in office

I could list them but I'll leave that research up to you

Compared to the alternative Trump will be a God send

They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.

Kamala says she supports Biden's proposal for a 45% capital gains tax and a 25% tax on unrealized capital gains on individuals with a net worth over $100 million. Lol.

Anyone with a functioning brain knows she's never going to do that even if she could pull it off (she can't)- it's just more fake populism from her, she's just saying what she thinks the working class voters who have been abandoning the Democratic party in droves want to hear....feeding sugar to the masses.

under no circumstance would her billionaire donors allow her to tax them 45% on their realized gains and 25% on their unrealized gains. the unrealized gains 25% tax thing is just insane- those gains are theoretical and aren't actually gains until those shares of stock are sold- and share price can crater just as fast as they can shoot to the moon.

it is kind of insane to me that this is not the only way people are allowed to vote.

people should have to vote in person, show their ID, and the votes should be paper ballots. there should be very few and narrow exceptions for mail in ballots....military service, living abroad, severe sickness, severe disability- that's it.

for the life of me I cannot understand why any of that is controversial. anyone who objects to any of that is HIGHLY suspect imo.

I mean I'm just a middle class schnob but I just moved a six figure account from one person to another without any of us appearing in person anywhere, but me putting a tick next to WhosIt or WhatsIt requires me to drive down and stand in line.

lol. dude is a billionaire. those types of people have an army of tax attorneys and accountants they pay handsomely to help them take advantage of every loophole and write-off imaginable to legally avoid taxation and they pay the absolute minimum they possibly can. i feel like most Americans know this. or at least I would hope they do.
