I think you underestimate how much of a snake the man from Chicago really is.

He badly wants a fourth term.
This is obviously nuts.

Claim, claim, claim.  Nothing to support it or back it up.
Obama was as moderate as it gets in this century, but he's a snake.

Well after Trump talked about the tip taxes, we get the same proposal from Harris.

What are all those IRS agents she hired to go after tips going to do now?

OK, question.

If something is a good idea and you were on the wrong side of it, you're supposed to stay on the wrong side of it?
You don't make the self-correction?
Sticking with the bad idea is better than flip-flopping?

What sort of idiocy is that??

The Republicans skipped a platform in 2020 and just said whatever Trump says is what we support. This time around they did bother to put a platform together, which as far as I can tell is mostly nonsense Trump talks about in speeches.
You’re forgetting yourself again.  Nearly everyone agrees, had Covid not happened Trump would have won reelection and by an easy margin.  Even with that, he received the most votes in election history, with one important exception- Biden in the same election.

That election had by far the highest % of not in person votes, which favored Biden enormously.

Ballot harvesting-WHICH IS PERFECTLY LEGAL- was the difference.  Understand what ballot harvesting is: mailing ballots out to “likely” registered voters, and hiring people to go out and “collect” them.  Signature verification is not even required in many places.

Between that, and the MSM media lying about the laptop, and acting like Trump created Covid in his personal lab, and the numerous other Covid lies that have been thoroughly debunked - there you have it.

And stop pretending that government control of prices isn’t communism by definition- and site ONE example of where it worked.
And calling deportation communist?  Making people whose first act of entering the USA is breaking the law, pay for it?  Get over it.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

Generally- changing your position is a good thing as far as I am concerned.

Now- if you realize the person doing it is running from the numerous positions they have proudly and vocally espoused for years, because they are clearly unpopular- then you have to question if they are being honest, or if they even have a clue what they stand for.
Question for you:   Who cast the deciding vote on the legislation that taxes tips?
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

You are out of touch with reality.

I watched the man like a hawk as he rose to power within the criminal Chicago Machine. Trust me. He is NOT a good man, and he is absolutely not a moderate.

Trump is also not a good man.

Cool, but if she also is now on the good side of the idea, isn't that a plus?  I've never understood criticizing someone for correcting their opinion.  What sense does that make?

I don't agree with the no tax on tips. It's earned income, and the IRS is dependent on earned income to gain revenue.

What is the cost of this policy? It's gotta be nuts but nobody really knows what the impact will be if this happens.

And I don't believe it's going to happen for that reason alone.

One Trump proposal I do appreciate is the no tax on SS. The people who paid into that system already paid taxes on that money in the first place. I am not cool with double taxation.

Yeah, I’m not down with the no tax on tips either. Why do they get certain exemptions than say somebody who works at Lowe’s or similar ?

Besides, when they pay in cash it’s never taxed anyways.

actually that is sometimes incorrect.  Depending on a persons job the IRS will require a declared tip amount.

Triple taxation. I just learned the other day that the payroll taxes that we pay still count in our AGI. So you're paying income tax on the income that was already withheld to pay your FICA taxes.

I agree
but there is quite a bit of an allowance before taxes start

Not sure where I specified anyone was a "good man," but okay.

And again, EVIDENCE.  "I watched the man like a hawk" isn't evidence, sorry.
