Unless it's a really good steakhouse, I would go with the burger over the steak as well. If it's not a really good steakhouse, they can't do steaks well enough at the price they charge for them to make it worth it to me. But usually the burger at a mediocre steakhouse is pretty good.

agreed. most places don't do steak all that well and charge a lot for it. 

you can go to a local butcher or if you don't have one a place like wild fork or even costco buy a great cut of steak and cook it at home and it'll be way better and also cheaper than 90%+ of most restaurants. 

Would anyone put hummus on a burger?

hell no. hummus is only good with middle eastern food. it doesn't belong on cheeseburgers. speaking of hummus, all these stupid flavors of hummus have got to go. there's only one hummus. it's simple, yet delicious. and most places and stores have no clue how to actually do hummus. most hummus flat out sucks. 

I love hummus with roasted red or green chile pepper. 

If you want to argue that it's not actually hummus because it's not traditional, that's fine with me.  I'm okay calling it "garbanzo bean dip" or "chickpea whip" or something else, but it doesn't change the fact that it's delicious.

I've made hummus. It was delicious. It was also WAY too much effin' work for how little hummus we eat in this house. 

Sounds like that's not a problem for you & your wife, but we definitely don't do it enough to be worth it. 

New York is such a corrupt shithole state it's not even funny at this point.

A NY judge just kicked RFK Jr off the Presidential state ballot saying his being on the ballot is invalid because of a "false NY address". This is despite the fact that RFK Jr received a record number of signatures from New Yorkers to place him on the state Presidential ballot, his drivers license is from the state of New York, he votes in the state of New York, his law office is in the state of New York, his license to practice law is with the state of New York, and he pays state income taxes to....the state of New York.

Instead of throwing this ridiculous lawsuit out which is so clearly obviously just an attempt by the DNC to subvert democracy- something they are f*cking great at these days- a lawsuit which was brought forward by a political action committee of the DNC's- this shitbag partisan hack of a state judge in New York ruled in the PAC's favor and will remove RFK Jr from NY state Presidential ballots.

It's actually insane when you think about it. Not that it matters at all in the end for the state of NY as Kamalala is going to win NY no matter what going away- NY is a firmly blue no matter who cult like state- but on principle...it's disgusting and wholly undemocratic. It could have very real reverberations in the outcome of the election if this ruling stands and similar lawsuits pop up in every other state and he starts getting throw off ballots in swing states where his being in the race actually matters to the outcome of the election. The Democrats are actually very stupid for trying to get him off ballots with this bs lawfare- as polling seems to heavily suggest that while RFK Jr pulls away from both candidates- he seems to be pulling voters away from Trump more than he does Kamalala.

I don't know I guess I'm a strict traditionalist when it comes to food. I respect culture. Drives me nuts when I see places that have disgusting looking red or purple or green globular paste that they try to pass off as hummus. hummus is suppose to be smooth, creamy and the color of chickpeas, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and tahini. and it's even better when served with lamb tenderloin tips and roasted pine nuts on top.

I grew up in an area that has the largest concentration of middle eastern/arabic peoples in the entire USA and the best Arabic food in the entire USA. when you know what the deal actually is and you grow up eating the real deal Holyfield- everything else seems like a disgusting abortion to you. I'm even a bigger stickler when it comes to Italian food. I'm a real ball breaker when it comes to food. Guess you could say I'm a food nazi.
