I'm not a hard-core isolationist either, but my country comes first.

As for helping Europe protect their borders?

I'd rather we protect our own.
THIS!

What Trump *SHOULD* have done was to veto any spending for ANY other country's border until his wall was financed and justified it by going directly to the people with the argument that we are not going to spend money on other countries' borders until we secure our own border.  The Congresspeople who want to go off on foreign adventures and invite unlimited immigrants would have been in an impossible position because Trump's side of that argument polls reasonably well among Democrats and phenomenally well among R's and I's.

The Swedes and Finns wouldn't have gotten into NATO if Putin hadn't attempted his invasion of Ukraine.

If Trump had been re-elected in 2020, he would have arranged for a summit to publicly hand over the puppet government of Ukraine to Russian control.

Tis much better to have an ardent Cold Warrior at the helm when fighting the Russians than someone who is $400 million in hock to them.
a) Putin didn't attempt an invasion of Ukraine...he invaded Ukraine.

b) your second sentence is beyond retarded and not in the realm of reality. Trump was FAR harsher on Russia than his predecessor Obama. Trump kicked out more Russian diplomats off US soil and put much more and much tougher sanctions on Russian nationals than Obama. Trump also shipped lethal and offensive weapons to Ukraine which is something Obama flatly refused to do because he didn't want to escalate an explosive situation. Smartly on Obama's part I should say. Trump pounded the table loudly for years about Europe needing to raise NATO spending and railed against Germany's reliance on Russian natgas/oil and the NordStream2 pipeline. Two things both so clearly obviously NOT something Russia would want a "puppet" to do. Oh and you're right, Ukraine does have a puppet government. That government is a complete and total puppet of the United States that is and has been so since 2014 when the US state department/CIA/USAID staged a coup and illegally overthrow a democratically elected government and handpicked the government that followed.

c) Trump owes the Russians $400 million? Where did you pull this sh*t? Out of your ass?

It continually amazes me that Americans don't know jackshit about jackshit and continually just talk out of their bloated stupid assholes.

My point is that he could have gotten the funds by linking it to something they REALLY wanted, money for Ukraine and Israel.

Obama jawboned the same way, as did Bush.  What Presidents have said had no impact.  Crimea and Ukraine did.

I personally do not think Trump had anything to do with it.  And the way Trump walked about it was absurd, again, in my view.

Trump pushes NATO allies to spend more, but so did Obama and Bush (cnbc.com)

Trump repeatedly spoke about defense spending as if NATO countries owed the United States the money they had not decided to spend on their own domestic defense budgets, and as if the 2 percent of GDP that is the target for each country all goes into one pot and the U.S. has been paying other countries’ share of the pot.

“Frankly, many countries owe us a tremendous amount of money for many years back, where they’re delinquent, as far as I’m concerned, because the United States has had to pay for them,” Trump said on Wednesday morning. “So if you go back 10 or 20 years, you’ll just add it all up. It’s massive amounts of money is owed,” he said.

In reality, none of this money is “owed” to any other country. These are domestic spending levels, or money that NATO countries decide to spend on their own individual militaries. Not money they pay to anyone else.
believe the thought is that money is "owed" mainly to US based companies. who do you think produces most of the advanced weaponry that NATO countries would theoretically be buying with that 2% of GDP spending goal?

Did no good to link anything if Pelosi and her gang wouldnt play ball

That will be different this time around

Trump will secure the border and we will be much more secure

They'd rather be at war than be a Russian province.  That's their decision, not yours, and sure as shit not Donald Trump's.
Lulz. They are an American province and have been so since 2014, and that wasn't their decision. It was the Obama state department/CIA decision to stage a coup, overthrow a democratically elected government and then handpick the puppet government that followed. And yes that war is in large part our decision. We fund it. Still. We f*cked around and found out in a region that means absolutely nothing to us and has nothing to do with the US and created a situation which ultimately led to where things stand now. This is a war of US leadership choice that the United States wanted in the first place and one that it continues to fund, and it's a war that the US leadership could end in a split second. Less than a split second.

The reason Putin didn't invade Ukraine while Trump was in office was that he didn't need to. Trump was loudly and proudly doing all of Putin's dirty work for him.
This is beyond retarded. Congrats. You win the dumbest thing written on the internet for the day award.

Typical Russian troll-bot propaganda nonsense.  Just stop it. You're so unbelievably transparent.  Do they pay you in rubles or do they still have some access to American denominations?

My point is that it was a fight that Trump didn't commit to and he should have.  Increased immigration is wildly unpopular overall.  Border security polls  reasonably well among Democrats.  Ok, FORCE Pelosi to defend the pro-immigration, pro-foreign adventure position.

Abortion can be codified. But they won't do it because it will leave one less issue out of election season.

The left has weaponized abortion. It is what it is.
the republicans kind of did this sh*t to themselves.

abortion was a major problem for them in the midterms in '22 and IF Trump loses in November the abortion issue will have been a huge factor in why.

The other NATO leaders knew any Trump threat to withdraw from NATO was silly blister, because no President can do  that.

His comment that Putin could do "whatever the Hell he wants" was also, in my view, very stupid.  Trump bluster is not my way of thinking at all.

And NATO countries obviously don't somehow OWE the US something because they underspent.  They have their own arms producers.  Germany has pretty good gear, as does France and the UK and Sweden.

At least we know dickface putin's checks are still clearing, or this troll-bot would go elsewhere.
