You guys realize that wages have remained largely stagnant since the 70s and that this sudden jump in MW is just a correction, right?

As in:  businesses that wouldn't have stayed afloat if wages had grown incrementally over time are the ones suddenly the "victims" of the correction.

Everyone gets that, right?

Wages should be driven by demand and not artifically manipulated

Just because a minimum wage exists, doesn't mean employers are obligated to pay that minimum wage and nothing more.  

Can't speak for anywhere else but here in Texico, minimum wage is $7.25 and places like McDonald's are paying starting salaries around $11/hr.
