Some of those buildings you posted have either been completely remodeled or torn down, I think. The problem with A&M’s architecture is that it’s never been consistent. We grew leaps in every decade after the 50’s and the campus is massive, over 5,000 acres. So you can be in West Campus, which was almost all built after the 80’s and it looks completely different than main campus, much of which was built in every era from the 1800’s to present.
Aggies we’re mostly a practical people, I think we valued simplicity over style. It never even occurred to me the buildings were ugly.
They have built so much since I’ve been gone I hardly recognize campus.
