There is no US base in Taiwan, but I do agree that the US has major presences all over the world.
US has like EIGHT HUNDRED military bases around the world in over 100 countries. I want to say they have around 300+ alone that encircle China and could fire missiles which level Chinese cities in minutes. China has I think like 3 military bases in other countries around the world.

US spends over $1.3 trillion a year on defense if you include everything that should be included but isn't (nulcear weapons, intelligence, interest payments on wars, veteran benefits). They spend more on military imperialism than like the next 15 countries combined, most of which are allies.

China is not a true direct military peer competitor, they are an economic one. And they are kinda wiping the floor with us in that regard. They build roads and bridges to influence other countries and loan them money and sell them sh!t. We build military bases and bomb the living sh!t out of other countries and have zero regard for international law and basically do whatever the fk we want, where we want, when we want.

I'm not worried about some training base in Cuba, and there is not a thing we could do about it anyway.

The solution to Cuba, in my opinion, is Hilton/Marriot/Sheraton, et al.
kinda funny hearing people in the US cry uncle about a foreign military base in Cuba when the US has like 800 foreign military bases all over the world and oh yeah by the way has also occupied 45 sq miles of Cuba for 120 years now and has run an illegal worldwide rendition & torture black site there since 2001. Lol.

Not so protected as to not get popped for relatively low level charges.
a federal weapons charge and federal income tax evasion charges for failing to pay $2 million in taxes is low level? Wtf? Lol.

You do know the dude owed the IRS over $2 million and had some lawyer buddy of his write the check, right?

I got an idea. Try buying a firearm illegally and owing the IRS $2 million and see if you get off as lightly as the crack head did.

One might think, but probably be wrong. Tax charges are notoriously hard to prosecute. What if his record show he didn't owe any taxes? If he has a slightly defensible claim, it is an uphill battle. That's why Trump has never been prosecuted for tax evasion despite some creative ideas about what he owes. Further, the state has to prove that Hunter is a drug addict and lied about, which is also challenging. These are fairly low level charges and got a fairly low level result, and the only remarkable thing is that the charges happened at all.
you are grasping at fking straws....

Trump is a billionaire who owns ridiculous amounts of real estate (which come with all kinds of tax loopholes/ tax benefits) who employs a fkng ARMY of accountants and tax lawyers in order to legally avoid paying tax. It's bullshit. But it's legal. That is the system. And the rich can game it. And he does.

The crack head who shall not be named didn't pay a single dime in tax, which is why he got in trouble and which is why he had to have a friend of his write a $2 million check to the IRS to keep his ass out of hot water.

Wesley Snipes Loses $23.5 Million Tax Case, Offers IRS Tiny 4% Compromise (forbes.com)
Wesley Snipes went to jail for like 3 years and ordered to pay $5 million in fines for tax evasion. Wonder if his Daddy was the President of the USA if he would've had to do time....probably not...

If the Tribe weren't trying to paint Hunter Biden as some sort of anti-American supervillain, the optics would be worse for him on pleading guilty to federal charges. As it is, Republicans have to own goal on this one.
No one is trying to paint Hunter Biden as some sort of anti-american supervillain....what in the actual fk are you going on about lmfao? All anyone is painting him as is what he is- the crack head son of a corrupt career politician....

btw....THAT is exactly what they try to paint Trump as lmao...as if he was some sort of unique horrific monster and criminal never before seen in the history of US politics. When the reality is he's no bigger of a criminal than any previous Presidents before him. And in fact I'd argue his crimes are small when compared to Presidents like Clinton or Bush. I actually give Trump a lot of credit for pushing to end the war in Afghanistan and not getting the US into any new wars- despite all the pushback he received from his advisors like John Bolton and the military industrial complex and war pig scumbags in Congress like Lez Cheney aka Miss Piggy.

Biden's DoJ has had a major hard on for firearm violations yet HB walks?  Lying on that form is a felony.  If you did it, you would go to prison.  Same likely goes for intentionally not declaring over a million in income and not paying taxes on it for years.  We live under a two tier justice system.
this 100% and anyone who disagrees with it is suspect. In my opinion.

Kodak Black (a famous rapper from South Florida for you old people) got a 3 year prison sentence for lying on a firearm purchase form.

Anyways, I think it is pretty obvious that these charges were only brought to appease Republicans who are mad that Trump got charged with anything. This would not have been brought against a normal person.
Lmfao. Are you smoking crack with Hunter brother? What? People get charged with federal tax crimes and federal gun violations on the DAILY and actually serve time....not get sweetheart PTI deals.

The reality is the indictment against Trump would not have been brought against any other high level US govt official let alone a former PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. How do I know? David Petraeus, Joe Biden, Mike Pence, Hillary Clinton, and a whole litany of others committed mishandling of classified documents crimes and worst any of them got was a slap on the wrist. Petraeus shared top secret documents- the most sensitive and highest level of classification in US code- documents with names of operatives and detailed military plans- to his fkng mistress who was writing a book about him and all he got was a little slap on the wrist.

Also...charging the guy under the espionage act is flat out ludicrous. The espionage act is unconstitutional and just flat out needs to go. So does the over-classification of documents which happens in the US federal bureaucracy monstrosity. That sh!t needs a serious overhaul.

Pretty obvious to anyone with even half a brain cell that particular prosecution of Trump over the documents is being done solely to put pressure on him to drop out of the 2024 race.

So you are telling me he paid his taxes. And then you wonder why he didn't go to jail. Sometimes the simplest answer is right there in front of you.

If you are following the thread, you already know the answer here. Kodak Black claimed he had never been charged for a felony despite being currently under indictment for rape when he filled out his form. That's like shooting ducks in a barrel for prosecutors. Just look at what the feds would have to do to have a hope of convicting Hunter - forensic experts, tracking down relatives and girlfriends. And they still would have pretty limited proof about the actual drugs he did 5 years ago. Plus the law is on shaky ground. This is a no contest - anyone comparing Hunter Biden to Kodak Black is suspect. In my opinion.
