Speaking of graduations, we've been seeing a LOT of graduation groups around here, that is, a group of nattily attired families of 5-6-7 looking about often for a place to eat. One of them might still be in the gown. They seem happy, which is a good thing of course. I went to my HS graduation, it was pretty boring but everyone did. I went to neither college graduation, it seemed pointless, I did go with family to see my sister graduate from UGA, and I saw daughter graduate from OSU.
I know I'm old and jaded about such things and usually consider any event in terms of whether it's gonna matter to all. I'm happy that some families treat it as a very uplifting positive thing, and of course then the Real World sets in for most.
