Yeah, that is also part of the problem. Wife wants an electric car, as said. But: A) No new electric cars on lots (stuck on ships). B) Many cars from 2020 / 2021 / 2022 still have that faulty battery, which means that they are not allowed to be sold by used car lots until the battery problem is fixed, and the parts to fix those batteries are on those same ships stuck in the harbor. C) Anything older than that already has 50,000 miles on it, and is still bloody expensive, which is not exactly a great situation.
We might be back to plan "A" of finding the crappiest car we can get for the kid and then just wait out the supply chain issues for my wife's new car that she will get in a couple of years when her current car dies.
