Agreed, it did seem unnecessarily opportunistic and in poor taste, to turn the announcement of his illness into an advertisement for the ACC Network.

On a lighter note, my dad is watching a western and the female lead is using some kind of cartoonish Swedish accent.  It's brutal.
The good news is that he seems to prefer watching westerns more and FoxNews less. I'm genuinely thankful for that.  And they haven't watched a minute of Hallmark Channel yet!!
