Bottom line, what I think happened was this:
Biden's handlers knew that Biden wasn't fit for office but Dr. Jill (or whoever had the most influence on Joe) was unwilling to let go of being First Lady so they were stuck.  Then they made a genius move.  They KNEW the debate would kibosh Biden but they couldn't get rid of him without it so they negotiated a debate in June.  If they'd have had the debate at the normal time they'd have been stuck.

The problem that created though is that instead of picking a candidate through the normal process of an election they just selected Harris.  I frankly think that Harris is just a bad candidate.  I don't mean this as an ideological argument, I mean it simply as personality/likability.  Now I know that Trump's personality and likability are liabilities for him but that doesn't preclude those things from ALSO being liabilities for his opponent.  From an election, I think the Democrats would have gotten a better candidate.
Not meant in a mean way...but no shit sherlock.  LOL.  That's pretty much exactly what happened.

I bemoaned in another post this exact scenario, that the democrats did not follow the democratic process, and as a result they got Kamala.  Who is so disliked that a......loathsome for lack of a better word....Trump easily defeated her despite not deserving it.

We COULD be changing into a situation where Presidential incumbents struggle to get reelected because people are PO'd with government (but they reelected most of their Congressmen).

I was musing about Carson Beck a bit, the UGA QB who came back to school ostensibly to beat Bama and win an NC, neither of which looks at all likely.  He eschewed a probable first round or second round pick last year and now will be lucky to be fourth.  Well, someone may take a risk because he has a strong arm and is tall.  UGA fans are ... getting fanatical about him and the team, which simply is missing some parts.  I thought they would lose to OM something like 36-27 or so, not limited to 10 points.

So, Indiana is 10-0 huh?

No.

Here's the thing. Nobody on this board pushes religion, at all. One person on this board shits on religion constantly.

Need any more hints?

I often think anyone who appears to have some major issue with a topic or entity has some issues of some sort.  They keep bringing it up, often out of context, and go on and on about it.  We've all been around such folks, usually while trying to avoid their company after a bit. uncles and whatnot who can't leave it alone.

They might go on and on about how they hate, say, Halloween.  OK, got it, maybe the rest of us enjoy it a bit and are tired of hearing your rants.  I understand the folks on FB who go on and on about Trump, I get that, they need to blow off steam and somehow posting in SM does that for them, carry on.  Today, all my Marine friends on FB are going wonky about some birthday, something is 249 years old.

What $10B in new Midtown ATL development looks like | Urbanize Atlanta

Since the first major development in the student-housing category delivered in 2015—Spring Street’s University House, with its game room and poolside Jumbotron that seemed astonishingly luxurious at the time—amenity-packed, high-rise student buildings have popped up across Midtown, from former parking lots near SCAD to the edge of downtown.

Midtown Alliance estimates that between 6,000 and 7,000 of all of Midtown’s 27,000 residents are now college students.

I find is astonishing that private student housing is so ritzy and so prevalent around here, I presume it's similar at other schools.

A quarter of our residents are students??!!!

I'm told quite a few of these kids are 'crazy rich Asians", which makes sense.  They pay OOS tuition, so spending on an apartment might not hurt Daddy much.

Proposed construction has slowed a bit over the past year, it had been almost every month a new thing was about to start.  An apartment building very near us had cleared the space two years ago and is in abeyance now.  Three new quite large apartment buildings are nearing completion.

I'm often right to think anyone who appears to have some major issue with a topic or entity has some sort of twisted knickers
