(CNN) Updated 7:34 AM EDT,Tue August 27,2024
Mark Zuckerberg, chairman and CEO of the social media company Meta, said in a letter to the House Judiciary committee on Monday that his teams were “pressured” by the Biden White House to censor some content around the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sure, I saw where Z said they were pressured about COVID posts on FB.

I was referring to the CDC and that ivermectin claim.  It's not something the CDC would generally state, about anything, much less ivermectin.  I could be wrong, but this sounds, to me, like something fabricated and showed up as some meme on FB.

that little victim of pedophilia freak Macron is refusing to accept the results of the snap elections back in June. #Democracy.

sounds like Trump on January 6th

has Macron called for an angry mob to mount an insurrection???

or doesn't he have the skinheads on his side?

I'm weird. I'm a proponent of evidence-based medicine, not anecdote-based medicine.
Yes, you are...

I'm a proponent of listening to my Doctor of Medicine of 27 years. If he says something might work, I pay attention.

We never needed the experimental medicines (ivermectin, hydroxy, Paxlovid, etc.).

Only my first case sucked and there was no treatment of any kind at the time, except to stay home, drink fluids, etc.

I also wish we had never taken the experimental "vaccines" and that we just simply postponed travel plans.

I was surprised to see treatments recommended for COVID that were "designed" for something vastly different, but I thought, well maybe so, where's the evidence?

The evidence at the time seemed, "lacking" in clinical foundation, and I stopped looking into them a while back.  Every decent study I looked at said they had no efficacy.

Show me the data.

Very early in COVID, I didn't think it would be possible that good data would exist that treatment X would be effective.

My guy started his experimental use in May 2020, and nobody died from Covid or the experiments. The experiments could only help - not harm. No harm, no foul.

Makes sense. I would do the same. I assume that the doctor knows more than I do, not that I know more than the doctor.

That said, I suspect there were more than a few patients who walked into their doctor and demanded ivermectin, HCQ, Paxlovid, etc, because they saw it on social media and think the deep state is trying to keep it away from them.

Just as there are more than a few patients who see a commercial for a medicine and demand to be prescribed it because the TV says "ask your doctor about X" and features a bunch of happy people in commercials.

And I'll bet a few of those doctors, knowing that Iver/HCQ are pretty safe medicines, just said "screw it, I'll give the pt what they want to shut them the hell up."

Nah, he wasn't that kind of guy. Very honest and sure of himself.

I was actually his first patient when he opened up shop, right out of Dartmouth Med School.

Oh, and the deep state WAS trying to keep it from them. Actively - except for the Paxlovid, of course.

I'll be AT the TX-OU game so I'll miss all of the others.  The price you pay for attending live in person.

Actually I'll probably be able to catch some of the other games at one of the biergartens inside the State Fair, especially now that my kids are old enough to wander the Fair without me.
