Wouldn't say I'm an expert on medical school but America requires a bachelor degree with specific courses (such as organic chemistry), then the completion of actual medical school, which is another four years, then training in the field, which last a few years too. I don't think other countries have all these requirements, so it becomes easier to recruit doctors from other countries. Since our immigration system favors "skilled" workers, doctors are an easy addition.
This is what my impression is. Not 100%, because obviously some of them are highly educated and talented.
But we should not be making it harder for natural American citizens to be doctors here while making it easier for people from other countries.
